  1. i got myself all excited aswell.....
  2. apparently so... should be awsome
  3. its Lakeside International Raceway, not just a dragstrip. it includes the dragstrip, new circuit, and soon to be built, a purpose built burnout pad.
  4. attitude? i like them because they are different here in the bay, you dont see much of them. im no trendwhore.
  5. i am also sick of hondas, subarus, and all the other peices of shit that you see everyday. i am however rather fond of s13's, s14's and the odd nicely modded skyline. they're jap though, therefore crap, according to you yes but you rarely see a nice silvia round these parts. gotta love the drifters!
  6. sounds good to me... but escort aint goin at the mo, getin a new paint job
  7. precisely! lol but seriously i am also sick of going out friday/saturday night and finding town DEAD. i am also sick of hondas, subarus, and all the other peices of shit that you see everyday. i am however rather fond of s13's, s14's and the odd nicely modded skyline. a mate of mine used to own that evo4 NVEVO4 and seriously... all the honda guys would cream themselves over it! i cant wait to get my escort back on the road again
  8. if you do decide to go turbo iv got a mate whos building up a r32 drift car and just converted to a top mount t3/4 so heil sell the old t25 4 about $200 i think... also hes got other parts like external waistgates, BOV's, etc so hit me up if u need anything. chur

theres a price tag that comes with those, can be quite large at times
  10. sorry, discusting* lol. we used this special consentrated degreaser of some sort with the wire brush on the bench grinder and its much better now. still i tiny bit left on them but we aren't too worried about it. also got the die grinder and cleaned up the ports and took the lip off them. should go much better now
  11. just rebuilding a mitsi engine with dad at the moment, evrything has 20+ years of build-up and crap on it. ports are suprisingly discusing. anyway, valves (exhaust and inlet) have got a build up of carbon on them that is solid as a rock. just wondaring what the best way to get it off is? is it just a matter of wirebrush drill peice and being carefull i dont dig into the metal? any help would be great
  12. yea thats exactly what i was thinking. i think il go with that electroplating process, sounds like its gona last for ages and i no it looks as good as chrome but not as ricer etc As above. Electroplating is the way they attatch the chrome to the metal pipes or whatever they are chroming.. ok lol that just confused me a bit. apparently it lasts for ages tho so whats this about it not lasting for long?
  13. yea thats exactly what i was thinking. i think il go with that electroplating process, sounds like its gona last for ages and i no it looks as good as chrome but not as ricer etc
  14. yea that rings some bells! suposed to last for ages.... if i think back i think he said it costs somthing like $150 for that.
  15. i heard that chroming (not sure if its actualy chroming, and rather is treated or something and polished) lasts longer than any other heat resistant paint. heard that from a guy here in the bay, RScort knows him, john at vtr performance. anyone else know other?
  16. not necessarily meaning cheap 2 buy but iv seen alot of 4-2-1 headers that looked somewhat rugged and 'second best' if you know what i mean. not to mention the size of most iv seen were nothing special either.
  17. wots on the 11th? im definitly goin up . hope they use the full track tho thatd be way better then last time...
  18. 4-1 extracters are the way to go, give u the most gains etc. 4-2-1 are just cheap versions and arent worth it i recon...
  19. the cambelt snaped on my dads rally car once, pretty much destroyed all the valves, and pistons were no good any more. big price to pay for something that costs so little... goodbye heavily worked head
  20. ohk yea iv rolled the rear guards all the way and i dont see the front guard as being hard as its 1 peice, but the rear is 2 peices pressed 2gethta and its the inner part that realy needs 2 be modified. like mini tubs would be perfect but yea........ something more realistic i think... unless its not as hard as i think but doubt it.
  21. id be carefull touching that. dont wana fuk it up lol. talk 2 a guy at a garage somewhere. im sure heil giv u a few ideas on the situation
  22. what exactly is pumping the guards? my cars going in2 get panal and paint job soon and could get the guards flaired...what are some of the methods of doing this without major fabrication etc (and money is a factor)? also not wanting them 2 be crazily fat etc
  23. i got monroe gt gas shocks and inserts from a performance store in the bay, he changed me 420 all up. the difference in handling it made 2 my escort was incredible. just some stiffer springs and it would have been perfect. its something i never regretted buying.
  24. yea i just realised after i sent it lol. sorry folks
  25. yea just beat it out a bit 2 clear it and get rid of it hitting wen vibrating. or weild in a auto trans tunnel... not that difficult
