Hey! Great idea for a thread Clint-thankyou! Im looking at installing rear seatbelts into my Mk 1 , 2 door escort. Im assuming i will need to get these certified? is there anything i need to know about specifics for installing them -or do they need to be installed by a professional to get certification? Thanks!

lol it definately doesnt have a turbo. nah no blockages. did have the exhaust rehung and put in flexi and it all looks pretty good but yeah i will definately have a look at the extra brace option. uterus- it ALWAYS blows straight up the top of #4. everytime.

yes exhaust gasket. i got a new manifold late last year as old one had multiple cracks, have had the face of that planed and also the engine block side planed as well (mission!) yes crossflow with cast manifold.

okay fast losing paitience with the escort. Keep blowing manifold gaskets at great pace. averaging 1 every month-2mths tops. Always seems to be the 4th that blows first. have had both heads re-planed, have tried different seals/ sealers/ etc. I always remember to tighten the bolts bit futher while engine is hot/after getting engine hot for first time after putting in new gasket etc... Last time i even gave up and coughed out $70 for the mechanic to do it (just in case its me doing something wrong!) but its done it again. suggestions?

something i have learned whilst trying to get esky road worthy for this wknd.. when taking car out for road test for the 6th time in a night...it doesnt matter how pissed off/frustrated you are that you still havent managed to fix it...when a cop pulls you over and asks "how long has your back tail light been out?"....the correct answer IS NOT "how the fuck should i know-im not behind me". oops. fortunately profusive apologies and pointing out that it got a new wof only a week ago got me off the hook.... this time. ... i shall have to learn deep breathing or something for future encounters hahaha... oh and do any of the esky drivers have a spare fuse cover? mines dissapeared (read:fallen off whilst driving) and i need new one asap- the points are corroding like mad.
