  1. Just cut off the ends of the manifolds and weld them on the right way.
  2. Stretched on tires are good, the lower the profile, the more the stretch too by the way. I have a 215/40/17 on a 7.5" rim and it's got a bit of stretch Wide tires on skinny rims is shit because you get heaps of movement in the sidewall, and the tires don't sit flat against the road, with stretched on tires you get minimal sidewall movement which is best for performance, not to mention it looks really tough.
  3. All you need to do is have a bracket between the extractors and the gearbox. I had the same problem in my car and this fixed it. Also my friend had the same problem and this fixed it. So in conclusion you need a bracket between the extractors and the gearbox.

    paint

how about metallic green with a brown pearl
  5. You want it to bend in a crash, I'd rather have the steering wheel bend than my face bending in a crash!
  6. You don't have pressure on the outlet of the turbo really or vacuum on the inlet, because the turbo is just by the inlet, as the throttle is before the turbo.
  7. You wouldn't be able to trigger it as the pressure is after the throttle.
  8. YES! I had that problem, was easy to fix, just take it to the exhaust shop and get them to weld a bracket which goes from the extractors to the gearbox. I'd recomend getting it so that you can unbolt it though, so you don't have to remove your extractors when you are removing your gearbox. I find gearboxes tend to be consumable items like oil and filters, so you want ease of removal.
  9. Nah no blow off valve needed, you can't use one anyway, because it won't go orf. A fuel pump off a carby cordia turbo would be a winner!
  10. It seems quite important to make sure your oil levels are topped RIGHT up on a K series motor.... Mine is near the L level and when cornering hard to the right, I am losing oil pressure.... Is my oil too thin, and that is why I am liosing the pressure, or is it important to have it topped RIGHT up at all times?
  11. Oh got a driveshaft off a KE70, went to put it in, found out that the flange bolts were loose, well that was easy to fix!
  12. Mint, wheres the best place to buy the new universals from?
  13. Sidedraughts are better for performance, and they also sound better, but the downside is they're more expensive to buy. Downdraughts have no advantages except for it you have no money you buy them then.

    seal rust

What you can do, but it is rangi, is just put the seal into place, and silicone around it so that the water can't get passed it. I wouldn't recomend or so it on my car. Yeah, the panel beater is the way to go.
  15. My driveshaft has started rumbelling at high speed again! It's a 1975 KE36 Can I use a KE70 driveshaft? Can I get the bearings replaced in the universals? Who does this in christchurch, and how much. Cheers, Sam
