i love 80's mitzi's had starions and 1 Sapporo picked that up from a car yard in Timaru for 800 AIWI on a friday shot back to Chch sat with my sister in her Si Civic in tow left her in a pile of brown smoke she picked me up in ashvegas. left the car on the side of the road rang the wrecker up and said pick it up. engine was poked lol but god did i have some fun in that 80 km. keep up the work going well

i remember the old man lifting a blown engine out of a hilman hunter years ago with the clothes line lol lets just say the car needed panel beating as well

cant remember but got a funny one for ya i brought a mk5 sport in timaru years ago while driving it home it went bang and crap flew out of the bonnet at first it thought it was oil and shit but after nursing it home lifted the lid and the horry of a previous owner had a self tapping screw and no more nails in the frost plug ill never forget that lol

i had the same prob with my old anglia so i got some aluminium bolt on spacers they worked a treat i still have them in my g rage if ya wanna buy them

i scored 315 consul front end fits sreight in all you have to do is change the tops over with your anglia ones and use original anglia wish bones

i havent done it but i hear ya cu slits on your inside lip and bend it out once it is all out you use a wooden baseball bat and a hammer to beat it basically into shape then insert a aluminium strip around the outside pot rivet it and bog once again pritty horry but hey
