in the end it proberly wouldnt pay, all the little things and issues will proberly end up costing you close to the price of a sr20det.....why not just put a sr20 in now and then turbo it when u have some more coin
  7. i forgot about those , those stripping pads are legendary , they rip all the paint off but yea leave the metal in mint condition mongol
  8. perfectly normal , itll just keep doing it.....you can just go 'fuckit' if you want because itll get to a certain level then stop emptying . or u could 'rangi' up some botlle and get the hose on the rad to go into the bottom of it , then half fill the bottle with coolant , cap should be fine , so long as it has a vacuum cap , (look at the bottm and in the center there will be a flap type thing ) , if it does she'll be sweeeeet mongol
  9. if i was to strip a car back to the metal , sand fah sure but it makes a hell of a mess and u get sand EVERYWHERE . does a bloody good job though if ur good at it (me) lol
  10. i think its kinda oldschool but its not his car anyway so its alright...his car is oldschool pimp juice
  11. umm i dunno if they are the same as an escorts one , but they should be type 1 macpharson struts ...taek them out ...take the spring off and undo the lil retianing nut at the top ..when you buy the new ones they'll come as an insert just plonk those in and reverse the job ...simple as .. mongol
  12. well im looking at starting a similar prject except my engine is a 2t (exactly the smae different srtoke) , ive heard it goes stright in but with a few lil hiccups here and there (take a look at club-k there more then enough write ups there) , ice got the 2t and im replaceing the crank and pistons with the 3t ones (increases displacement to 2 ltrs) then im also charging it (super or turbo not sure yet) ...let us know how it goes man
  13. your fukin joking me right , thats bullshit i used to work at supercheap as the parts manager in roto's and the bloody pump cost $50 , and before anyone says anything its for ..1300 1600 AND some series of 2ltr ... that repco guy needs to retire
  14. to tune the carby just screw the thing RIGHT in then about 2 1/2 turnb out ....start it , its should run , now turn it out until it starts to miss form, being too rich ..count the turns , then do the opposite do the same ...and pout the screw between the two points ...simple mongol
  15. as long as u want ...until of course the bearing complelty shits itsefl and u see the gauge go from norm to HOT in about 10 seconds .....that happened to me i ran the esky for 10 min after the water ran out ...admittidly the engine was just about on fire but its started up after that ....so to be honest fix it ..it cost between $50 to $100 to get it done and can save u big bucks from a warped head or such ...just my input mongol
  16. bah easy outs are fine if u use the bloody things properly ....i usually drill the WHOLE center of the bolt out though , have never broken one yet , mongol

  20. im wanting to put 17's on my esky but i dont want flared guards so can i just get the offset changed so that they can fit without rubbing? or would it be better to get the guards rolled? how much (about) would changing the offset be and where would i go to get it done? and how much (about) to get the guards rolled and where would i go? can just a panel beater do it?
  21. your ah , your gonna get a clip round the ears in a minute m8 . nah its fine for cast iron engine but anything esle and itll destroy it ...like my waterpmp that ripped itself to peices at 5000 rpm om the scort mongol
