  1. yeah we went with a bigger clutch as we have smoked standard ones and it wasnt much more to go to that. the click on thumbnail links didnt seem to work for me so i load those so it would take so long for the 56ker
  2. SOUNDS: Today i got bored so i went and bought some new toys. I started the install today should be finished by next week.
  3. Interior: Before. I am currently working on the interior hopefully will be done soon.
  4. BRAKES: FRONT: MK2 1600 Sport REAR: MK2 1600 Sport I had to get a new peddal box so i could fit the siddies in.
  5. ENGINE: 1600 Crossflow bored out to 1775cc ported and polished head double valve springs kent 243 cam twind 40 delorto sidies CLUTCH: this was the biggest clutch that would fit on the flywheel. Its from type R integra. I know it a honda part in a ford" this is a VR4 plate which has been cut down to fit on the flywheel. the Flywheel had the dowls move so to fit the new clutch.

  7. yeah the 1 you tried was the oil type and they are shit i wouldnt even use 1 in a honda. the 1 i use is a transformer type which acccording to there specs NEW TRANSFORMER DESIGN PRODUCES FATTER SPARK. i had talked to a couple of ppl with v8's and they were using them. Ive had mine for over 4 years now and had no problems.
  8. what version of the bosh GT did you try. the standard looking 1 or the sealed coil pack looking 1. i have the coil pack looking 1 and ive had no problems at all. cold starts its great and it seems ok at 7500 rpm

How have you got that already im still months behind, thats the same month as Ben Morleys XE van too right ? i got fucked off waiting so i got a subscription. they arrive a week before the month begins it worked out to cost the same to get them sent by air mail as it would cost from down the shop. and i know ill get a copy. dec issue is mean it has a tech section on the 2l cossworth engine. Which just makes me want to put 1 in a mk1 escort
  10. i was just reading last months classic ford and its feature car is collin Mc Rae's Mk2 Escort its got 335Bhp at 7750rpm and only weighing 900kg and thats non turbo

  12. yeah i wouldnt use palmside there prices on the website are incorrect by about $100 also they get a third party to build the box. It ended up costing me about $900 and it took 3 months from palmside.
  13. the V4 bell housing will fit on a V6 as well.
  14. Your gearbox may not have a reverse switch on it. my mk1 doesn't have 1.
  15. Do you have an electric fan? You can try Water Wetter This stuff is surpose to transfer the heat of the engine to the coolant and then to the rad better.

I had something like this a few years back. i still havent fixed it properly but i will when i re loomk the car. so if i have this correct. you have park lights. when you turn you main beam on it you have no lights. when you turn on the high beam they come on. if this is so i have found that the earth connection between the headlights and body was o/c, i dont know where. So what i did was pulled out 1 head light found the earth pin connected a new wire bteween earth and the pin. that fixed it for me and it has been fine for abt 3 years now. hope this helps
  17. there is a loop hole in the law. But it is very hard to do. the law it for tinted film on car windows, there is no law on tinted glass. They had to leave this open due to all the imports coming in with very dark tints in the glass. the stupid thing is if you have tinted glass and you break 1 of your windows and you get it replaced with a clear 1 you can not tint it to the same % you are only allowd to go to 35% so if you can find someone to cut and shape tinted glass you can go 35% in th efront and 5% in the back. this is what i am planing for my cortina as all the side glass is flat, just have to try and get the back window made.

  19. kendals dont have a web site but they are part of this site http://www.revolutionracegear.co.nz/seats4.html i think they were about $450 each best thing is to go in there as they have 2 types.
  20. if you want seats like that kendals have seat like that with out the head rest and they arnt too badly priced.
  21. the back seats in a mk1 capri are great y would you want to change them. Are you seats just a flat bench seat or are they shaped seat? But if you want them to look more like buckies then why dont you get them reshaped with foam and recovered. i got a quote for abt $500 to do that to my cortina seat. but wanted them to look more like capri seats
  22. yeah i might look at that as well. pushrod you will need a manifold from burton power as the ones they sell at autoquip dont fit even with modifications
  23. I had to use a willwood pedal box with the master cylinders under the dash. willwood peddal boxes dont come with gas pedals so i had to use another brake pedal for it. i had to use short throw tilton master cylinders. in total it cost about $1000
