  1. hey dudes and alice Im after a car trailer to borrow for a day - possibly 2 next week. need to go to hastings to pick up a donor car, so if anyone also needs anything transported between welly and there, i can possibly help bring it back. can give some beers etc - David
  2. you'l need helmet, long sleeved clothing - ie no t shirts, something like a pair of 100% cotton overalls would be best and i think possibly a fire extinguisher. check the MMP website. il possibly, will have either my mark2 wagon, or depending if i have a new job, il have be in something newer.
  3. i always want to see you lol..alice, the wagon may be up for sale very soon anyway if i get a new job lol
  4. paremata mobil? hmm..im a regular customer there hehe.. and btw the alice..none of my cars have had rust, as iv removed it all
  5. yeah, ahh well, she could have had one of my old ones for cheap..but nah..she rejected me
  6. meh, im here, dont own anything oldschool anymore though, maybe one day il buy another corolla.. alice..when are you getting a car, youv been saying that for a few months now
  7. lol.. diff is a bit funky, but hey reverse is cool..so just leave it
  8. pretty sure you can, as it was previously registered in this country, so the vin number etc are all still in the computer. but if you imported a 1987 car, then you wouldnt be able to for another couple years. ring up your local certification place and ask them
  9. yah, jack car up, put car into gear, and spin the wheels, or look on the firewall plate. the diff code will be like G-293 etc the last number 2 or 3 means if its lSD of not, 3 means it has one, 2 means its open diff.
  10. average price for a hilux drum to drum lsd setup would be around the $300 to $500, non lsd you can get for about 200. ratios depend on the type of racing etc, but a 4.3:1 or a 4.1:1 are the most common. as i said earlier, Hiace van diffs are exactly the same, yet alot of people decide to pay more for one out of a hilux. pick a part usually has a few hiace lsd's, but i never have money when they are there
  11. hiace diff and hilux are the same. they are both G series, which is 8" diff.
  12. no, you cant use the K series box, as the bellhousing is different, your better off going with a 4AGE for the cost vs benefit.

    4k toyota

no offence dude, but if you need a manual to do a headgasket on a 4K, you really shouldnt do it. all you need to do is take the rocker cover off, take off the inlet and exhaust manifolds, water pipes, fuel line, radiator hose, and the head.. its about a 45min job max..

    Toyota gearbox

an S series bellhousing wont bolt straight onto an A series engine.

    Toyota gearbox

must have been a shite t50 to kill 2 of them with a standard 4age..

    Toyota gearbox

how much power are you putting out? use a t50 up to about 200hp, otherwise use a w series.
  19. why not use google? its where everyone else is gonna get pics and information from.
  20. you'l need to change your engine mounts to the starlet one.. but other than what i said, it will bolt in
  21. dude..do a search on the forums that your part of, this has been covered soo much. for the 5K to fit in, you'l possibly have to swap the sump over to clear the cross member, you'l need to change the flywheel to a 4K or 3K one and same with the clutch, its best if you keep the 4spd, unless you have a starlet 5spd, or else you'l have to lengthen your shifter hole, to allow for the extra length.
  22. it will bolt up fairly easily, depending on if its a starlet one or not. in my experience, its not any quicker, the ratios only differ by a very small amount, depending how much you get it for, it could be worth it, they arent hard to swap over etc and resell if you have to.
  23. they go from like $15 for 4 at super cheap, to around $100, froma tyre shop for a full set

    exhaust- what size??

what works been done to the engine ? that will determine how big you need to go, for a stock engine, with just a carb, i personally wouldnt go bigger than 2", because to be honest the 'K' series motors sound like shit otherwise. il be running a 2 1/4" all the way through with a 3" tip, but my engine im estimating to put out around 150hp. .5" wont make too much difference on the tip.
  25. if you dont also mind me suggesting, it might also be a good idea to upgrade your stud pattern and brakes. you fit KE7*,3* stuff on pretty easily too, and you will have a more common stud pattern.
