  1. No its got a locater type block, room for error on that in no way could equate to the difference in my offset. Its only 10mm but cause it compunds its quite a problem, I have less than 10mm clearance on both sides at the moment
  2. No panhard, Leaves and shackles appear to be all straight. Its a mystery! Only thing I can think of is that its a manufacturing fault which has been accentuated by the lowering and wider wheels or the U-bolts have not tightened up straight, in which case I'd think itd be pretty obvious to spot.
  3. Put 2inch blocks in my wagon on saturday. Now the exhaust scrapes over bumps and I smile alot. Problem is, after I put them in I noticed that my rear axle is offset to the LHS by about 10mm, This is all fine and dandy before I lowered it but now its lowered I have the same guard clearance on the flared side as I do on the unflared side, which isn't alot anyway. (an inch of flaring) Anyone struck this before? I swapped my rear shocks around as ones buggered (I have a set on order) And it pulled across by 5mm whilst jacked up but once it was on the ground it did the same thing again, all the mounts are straight etc, U bolts are possibly a bit crooked but I did them up tight (I'll check tonight) If its just some stupid build fault can I just shim out the shackles on the leaves to make it right?
  4. Haha looks like you guys had fun. Looking good man.
  5. A little update: 2inch lowering blocks, Dumpy and extractors on their way. Gonna reset leaves as well and get it nice and low.. Have already massacared guards to fit wheels, gotta go buy some steel to finish the flares. Levin seats and gauges going in. Gotta go get some sounds and the paint. At this stage just gonna leave it piston as my new daily once its done, may swap it to manual at some stage.
  6. Damn it I still want your ute but I've gotta go order 5L of candy-apple red.
  7. Good shit man, seemed pretty solid when I saw it. Could do with a dose of roundup haha
  8. Nice car! In my opinion I'm not the biggest fan of the shape- very triumph like. Probably really different in the flesh. Good luck with it!
  9. Cut and pasted For Sale speech: Body: predominantly rust free, a few surface specs etc. Was resprayed in arcrylic laquer just over a year ago. Tailgate has been debadged and someone had put bonnet pins on the front at some point. tint strip Motor:1300 xflow with ported head, hot cam, new valve guides, ramflow, coby extractors, performance leads etc. Blows no smoke and sounds awesome. Drivetrain: Rebuilt low mileage gearbox with new thrust bearings etc. Low mileage diff. Suspension: New kyb shock inserts in the front, monroe adjustable air shocks on sedan leaves with 12mm lowering block in the rear. Standard wheels with good to new 175 tyres all round. Interior:MINT dash, racing steering wheel, cream ghia seats (thanks josh) Good carpets, mint customised centre console, white dials etc. Rear seat has been removed and a custom platform is in place with a single mattress. All new wall panels in the rear. The mint rear seat and original seats can come with the car. Probably forgotten shit. Give opinions on what its worth. Or die.
  10. Respect, with a capital R. Tang vans are awesome. I'll be sure to flick a vid your way when I start popping tyres..
  11. Ha sounds good, I'm keen to see this video. I'll have to get the 929 out on camera destroying its old tyres
  12. If you've got something to say you gotta put it in the projects discussion thread, this shit gets deleted mate. I'm not putting the original chrome stips back on the doors and guards
  13. Yeah I'll do a mock up and see how it looks but I'm still pretty undecided.
  14. Bet you say that to all the boys... Be different and put a 3t in it. And NO spitfires! I love them but there on just about every KE under the sun.
  15. Yeah it'l be tricky to get the panel right but I'll get there. Where theres beer theres a will, and when theres a will theres a way. And I have alot of beer.
  16. Cheers, if I fab up a panel for the front it'l make the gap a little smaller as I'll try make something to follow the standard lines and cover that ugly bar thing. There will be an oil cooler in there at some stage, and hopefully an intercooler hidden behind the grill too...
  17. Got it to give me semi decent pics, shot in night-mode so still pretty average.. Grills going to become black. Bumper or bumperless? I'm swaying towards fabing up a panel to hold the indicators and going bumperless. Opinions?
  18. So yeah, no cunt cares but no skin off my nose, Rocked to Chch in the weekend, Sam (bandit) good cunt that he is, took me out to mazfarm where I got my manual pedalbox etc and some mint levin seats. Picked up some 14x7 spitties with good tyres, not as dished as I would like but better than a kick in the pants at this stage. Took the wagon for a thrash, stripped down no windows and single headlight styles. Discovered the 1800 auto does do skids, chortled. Going to make a new front panel to set the indicators into so I can go bumperless etc. Only put the front wheels on so far.. Really, really needs to be lowered now. Paint wouldnt go astray either.
  19. Yup, there it is, shitty pics I know. A slight amount of progress, pretty much all panelled up. To Do: Paint- a bold "ferrari" red. Lower it- "understatement" Wheels- something oldschool with a bit of dish Motor- swayed away from the rx4 13b idea, searching out a 13b turb now. And of course all the other shite that I just dont want to think about right now. Discussion Thread //oldschool.co.nz/index.php?/topic/19894-delanals-929/?hl=929
  20. Yeah I heard they were good. Strangely enough though I was looking through the kingspring catalogue and "LOW RX4" springs are the same part number as "STD RX3" springs. With that in mind I think superlow RX3 cobras probably aren't too far off the height I want.
  21. To my knowledge no one does customs in Dunedin aye.
  22. Cheers guys. Shall go get some kings to makita then.
  23. Yeah thats all good, If I was to do it I'd be doing it exactly the same as a professional would. Cheers guys.
  24. Yeah dont think I could do it without the right temps and compression etc. Worth a thought though, learn something every day. Cheers. Any chance you've got her number RT?...
  25. Nah I meant as in shortening them. I'm just curious really as to how the pro's do it. No one seems to be able to tell me. If it turned out to be a simple excersize just requiring specialised equipment (like half the shit done these days) I'd be away laughing and could do jobs for others etc too. I'd never consider it if it was going to be dangerous etc.
