So what I'm hearing, is I wasted my time and money....lol

To be honest I don't know, I did speak with a certifier before buying it, I explained that it sits right next to the factory fuel tank behind the seat, essentially you're not changing much, just adding another pump and reservoir into the system in similar locations.
I'm not sure he quite understood how these were built 50 years ago though, because he started talking about then the boot must be factory sealed away from the cabin if the fuel tank is there, I explained they were not built that way back then. He seemed to be ok with it from there, but ill guess I'll find out at cert time.
Maybe our resident Guru @cletus might have an opinion?
Hope I'm OK though, hate wasting my time and money..

Have also screwed together another block for it.
FC 13b S4 plates, large stages with secondary bridgeport- because braps.
I have made the manifold side of the secondary intakes huge as I am port matching a 6 port manifold to a 4 port motor, it gives an odd shape, but is pretty much JC Cosmo sized secondary's which is awesome for flow.
Have opened up all the oil passages, and drilled and tapped bungs into oil and water galleries as required.
FC E-shaft and JC Cosmo Rotors tip clearanced with large oil groove bearings. all balanced up
JC stat gears with factory window bearings
Brand new FC housings, with large exhaust ports, and have relieved the spark plug holes so you can actually fit a socket onto the plugs now.
4 extra dowels for strength as S4 plates are weak around the rear oil filter area in particular.
All new genuine Mazda parts, front stack, oil pump, seals, bearings etc
SCR power seals apex seals
Brand new 100amp alternator, and side mount bracket - bracket is dumb, its too low down so I have to cut it up and modify it so the alt sits higher and doesn't hit the chassis rail.

2 months since an update, been working on the car when time allows.
I'll start with the rear, I removed all the show car boxed in boot trim, moved the battery to the RH side and purchased a proper cert spec Moroso battery box, far better than just having the battery tie downs just hooked through the floor sheet metal as it was before.
Bonus is I can actually run a spare wheel now too!
After much thought, I decided to try a high pressure pump and surge tank combo, to save space, should be ok for what I'm trying to achieve. All new speed flow push lock AN fittings, and brand new carter lift pump.
Fire extinguisher also mounted for a bit of piece of mind, will also fit another one in the cabin.
Also had an O2 sensor bung fitted at the exhaust merge to assist with tuning once up and running.
Although it all needs a clean, I'm trying not to be as fussy with detailing on this build, as I really don't want another long term time consuming project again.

I find it odd/interesting that you hardly see early mazdas with old 3pc jap wheels built out like the old Toyota scene.
Its quite hard to find JDM wheels in 4x110, there just isn't the selection, and becomes too hard navigating Japanese sites for the odd set that pops up, or totally changing PCD on either the rims or the car itself.

For exhaust, I removed a stainless adrenalin R off my RX4 as I couldn't stand the sound it made, horrible tinny and had a resonance at a certain RPM that just drilled into my head.
Not a fan.
I had a custom "Manawatu mufflers" mild steel boiler made to suit the space available, huge difference, really nice deep sound, slightly quieter, way happier.

those repros are good but my spare is perfectly fine for using at a later date

I'm sure you've already had the thought - but what about a rougher unpainted bonnet to chop up? Or nah, send it.
I actually have another good bonnet, and was going to - cut, panel, paint that one, but thought what's the point, as ill just cut the one on the car, and I wont need to do any panel or paint.
If (I Wont) I ever need to fit a normal bonnet then ill just panel and paint the spare when the time comes, saves spending 2-3k unnecessarily now

Sold the ROTECH BP, but before I whip it out, have dummy mounted the blower to check cut lines for the bonnet, so I can put a massive hole in it.
40 vs 30 tooth (1to 1) pulley, Unfortunately I'll have to run the under driven pulley to get it through cert which is only 7-8 psi. The small pulley will be double that, but intake temps will skyrocket, and I won't have enough money to get car legal as well as work on cooling. Water meth will be on the cards, as is maybe Water to air intercooler.
I'll just focus on redesigning the intake, building a fresh new block, setting up EFI and a host of other items before I worry about decent power.
Also that scoop won't pass, so I need to find a low profile solution for air filtration into the Xtreme rotaries 1200cfm 8 injector throttle body., I'll only need to run 4x 1000cc injectors for what I'm doing

all of the above(EDIT-last page now) , injectors were above the blower, and had a massive cooling effect with the meth, so much so, that there was icy cold condensation around the throttle body after a run.

@Roman yes. too much load with no crank support, that, and the two-step just killed it.
interesting, the pulley he used would only produce around 14psi on the street with pump fuel, but with a few more "race" rpm and methanol it saw 21psi out of it, massive for a rootes blower

When I sold my first rx4, I kept the blower, and eventually sold it to my mate and well known drag racer Tony Markovina. For fun he strapped it on to HVATOS drag car with a JC cosmo 13B J port, cranked the boost up fed it methanol and ran a stout 9.84 1/4 mile with it!
Until one fateful night they were revving it up in the shed and the front fell off the motor.....
Massive amounts of damage, the motor was removed, and sat in the corner until I bought the lot back 10 years later.
I have quite a few repairs to do, more pics to come, but I won't be reinstating the JPort for this build.
