  2. recond and upgraded radiator, 3 row core. this thing is as thick as a mofo. Big thanks to Jason (TOYWGN) of trevor morris radiators in onehunga.

  5. i am still to see proof of a factory 5m turbo. MTEU is the m series motor sohc with turbo. and they dont put out as much power as a stock 5mge. but im sure with a few mods you could get power similar to a 5mge...

  7. on a side note, i have nearly all the turbo bits off an mteu sitting in a box that i need to get rid, unsure of condition, but then again not wanting much for it. cheers
  8. factory torque settings are at 54 ft lbs, which if you know a thing or two about motors, is very very low for a motor like a 7mgte. my arp head studs came with instructions to torque them to 83 ft lbs, and thats with the grease provided which actually increases the torque again. stock gasket with arps and correct torque will be fine. or go hard like me and go hks metal headgasket to boot.

  10. hey yeah, thats the common way that people do the conversion. it should all work, the only thing is the clutch pedal box needs to be bent slightly to fit i think. but tell him to go ahead with it.
  11. lexus afm is 25% bigger and allows for use of 550cc injectors on stock ecu also raises the boost cut to about 19psi stock internals are strong, but i want peace of mind. plenty of people getting 500hp with stock ecu

  13. hey, ball park 400-500hp. but we will see, i might get carried away im trying to stick with stock ecu for now, so that will probably be the limiting factor.

Ok more time and money being spent on this heap again New intercooler New plumb back bov twin 12" electric fan set up with fan controller JE forged pistons Hks metal head gasket Arp head stud kit shot peened rods full balance rebuilt head rebuilt bottom end tubular exhaust manifold with possible t70 turbo external wastegate not sure what size yet 550cc injectors with lexus afm mod walboro 255l/hr fuel pump intercooler sprayers and some other goodies im going to be poor for awhile me things, will post pics as i make progress

    the bottom plug in most cases is magnetic, so any shavings should be stuck to that

    oh, why would you take it somewhere expensive? if you want someone to have a listen just let me know. also i can help with pulling the diff out and putting replacement one in if you can get hold of one. But id change fluid first, might sort it out

    try replacing the diff oil first. and failing that new diff needed.
  19. dont know if anyone has mentioned it yet how about a 4efte motor out of a gt starlet? 1300cc single turbo stock 100kws at the fly, but alot of potential. cheap as chips and wouldnt take too much to fit it in I have seen it done, and with very good results.
  20. yeah i used to live at malcolms house. And yes i know alex too. both of which i use to go to massey high with. No quarter mile time yet, waiting for new engine to go in. but will be expecting high 13s with current set up.
