  4. 4g63 all the way. Abit harder to get intake manifold for bit int he end its a mucj better engine.Newer etc, can get aftermarket pistons and rods and stuff too.All the bits that are on the starion and evem the vr4 will bolt straight up.The 4g52 and 4g54 are getting pretty old now.Everyone blahs on about the 4g5 but thats only coz all the guys in ozz do them up coz they cant get the n/a 4g63.Also if you go turbo then its much easier to got from a n/a 4g63.All the sigmas that are in nz (2lt ones) are all 4g63 so there is a huge amount of parts awailable. The 4g63 beaths alot better than the 4g54 and revs higher and also has good torque down low Im really happy with mine. Ive been told the 4g63 is 100hp standars and has a compression ratio of 8.5:1, whereas the 5g54 is 9.5:1 and 120hp, but find that th 4g63 is actually a faster motor round a track even tho its lower hp. 4g63 all the way!

    i was gonna convert my old falcon "back" to LPG.All i needed was the tank and a few other things, somthing on the carb im not sure.Already had the gas lines and stuff.Was gonna cost around 3k with a secondand reconed tank

    turbo 1600 crossflow

    has anyone tried putting a 2lt turbo telstar motor into an escort or cortina or somthing.WOuld be mean.Twin cam and all that shit.WOuld be better than a turbo pinto wouldnt it?
  11. depends. For a start i cant take passangers, but sparkle can.So his is fatter in that respect. His is auto, mines manual, so i can pull a burnout. so as i seid, depends how you look at it. Of course im gonna say that my lancer is better, but i guess i would say that wouldnt i. Ive also been thinking bout how somone should start up a oldskool mitsi club thing.Theres nothing around that i know of, yet i know pleanty of guys that would deffinatly be intrested.i would start one up but i have no idea how to make up a website and shit.Would make it great when it comes time to find those hard to get bits that are sitting int he back of ppls sheds collecting dust. Holla out and tell me what you guys think peace!

  17. Well a hell of alot better. Its pretty much doubled the hp and the torque so yeah, naturally its alot better.
  18. i dont know if i would bother with efi to be honest.Involves alot more time and $$$ and that would be better spend on an n/a. Im really suprised how well it goes.with a standard motor i kept up with a 4age of a mate and i had 4 ppl and heaps of junk in my boot and it was just him and his gf in there car. im now tryng to put a 32/36 downdraft on it. Its real easy to get extractors.I was quoted $300 for brand new cobys installed and modified to fit under my firewall at the local exhorst shop. Its all good. I freind of mine has just put a 4g63 into her colt lancer.i think its an LB or watever.Its gone in fine, and she used the lancer 5sp box.Didnt have to cut the tunnelor anything.
  19. if you gonna do EFI why dont you just do a vr4 converison? theres not much more work involved if you use the starion block and the vr4 head, pistons and rods

  21. pffffft!!! Wat fag posted these pics up? HAHA i was wondering where my cape had got too kick you in the face!! Well it looks closer to the firewall than wat it actually is.Its not closer than wat it was with the 1200 in there.Im not sure if the engine was actually bolted in at that stage It was very easy to put in.Ive been told that it bolts straight up to the 1600EX lancer cross member, but i found it didnt bolt to the 1200EX cross memeber. This was an easy fix.All i did was bolt the sigma cross memeber in and use the sigma idler arm to stop the streering getting tangled in the cross member.i also had to use the sigma gearbox cross member and sigma clutch cable, thats if you are going to use the sigma (d50) tranny. i also used the sigma sway bar on the front since the 1200 one is about 12mm and the sigma one is 25mm. i also tried fitting the sigma power steering put it dont work.the steering isnt heavy anyway so its all sweet. Ive done it all again and it took me about 4 hours, so its pretty easy. My next thing to do is fit a sigma turbo disc rear and sort an LSD out.
