  1. Low - What you quoted there from the rally prep manual, is exactly what im running in my car minus the remote booster, im not sure what cylinders im using tho/ iv forgotten what they are.
  2. My escort handles sweet with the APs on it, i dont notice the difference from standard at all. Also im running my brakes through a pedal box, with twin cylinders and balance bar. It all works really well
  3. Go for the austins, super easy to do aye Also, they fit behind my 13s no probs
  4. It will be fine running 95 on the 1300 pistons, ive been running mine like that for awhile now

    Brake Rotors

I have had the car running with the standard disc and princess calliper, and i wasnt impressed, but you guys all seem to be using the booster so im not sure how that changes things. The callipers have been rebuilt too so there is no issues there Im currently changing the pads at the moment, and may have found a suitable disc now, ill find out next week when the parts arrive.
  6. its your starter motor bro, i had the same thing happen to me last year, put a new starter motor in, no problems ever since

    Brake Rotors

the standard disc is too small to take advantage of the full surface area of the pads, and i dont see the point in going the vented route when im never going to use the brakes to that level. I mean ill be hard pushed to cook a solid rotor i think

    Brake Rotors

All of this has to fit behind a 13" wheel too. So yea i want a diameter disc that is close to the size of the princess calliper and the right offset, i can do all the rest of the engineering myself. The other difference i have is that i am running no booster in my setup. Cheers for the help so far guys

    Brake Rotors

Hey guys does anyone know of any replacement rotors for a escort that are larger in diameter to suit the austin princess calliper? I know the vented capri item fits, but im intrested in other options. I have also heard that you can use 3.3 vauxhall victor rotors but they are hard to come across now
  10. i personally wouldnt worry about a cert as retep says, they cam out with 1600 so no will know the difference or care The 1600 should just be a bolt in job, should fit on all the old 1500 stuff, correct me if im wrong tho
  11. the 1500 is ok, just that the 1600 has a stronger bottom end, and should produce more power. There are lots of parts available for them too which helps
  12. a rebuild and a cam whilst the engine is out is always a good option, and it is rather cheap, should beable to have it rebuilt with a bigger cam for $1k maybe even less if you know what your doing.
  13. yea? can you enlighten us a little on that?
  14. It would probably be better lower down, but from mid-top end the 38/38 will be alot better. You have both of them anyway so you could always just suck it and see.
  15. throw the 38/38 on itl help heaps, you could be surprised with the 38 it might not run too rich with your current mods, remember the v6s were only putting out around the 130-140hp mark. Failing that, you always have the 45
