    nothing wrong with supercheap or repco pistons they are both acl i think , i was tlaking to a guy peter the other day about them (i work at supercheap) and he says that they are much stonger then your factory pistons and are lighter or sumthing , apparently he has a 2ltr turbo mark 1 2dr scort that keep blowing 3rd (type 9 box) , so i decided to belive him haha
  5. id go the 4ag but that just me aye , u can amke a blue top into a redtop by milling 1mm off the head i think :S , dunno if thats tru or not but yea , and 4ages are basically bulletproof arnt they?? love the revs and have heapsa potential

    well i guess ur gonna have to pull the box out and fix it aye , no other way around it , yea sounds like the selector ball things what they do is when a gear is selected the ball pops into a hole between the selector lever and the gateway , this move some thingie mahjig into place the stop the other gear being engaged (imagine going itno 5th and 1st at the same time ......bang lol , anyhow the only i know of fixing it is taking it out and doing it manually

    yea it could eb the selector gateway thingie that stop moe then one gear going in at a time , if one of the balls if sitkcing u wont be abgle to move that particaular gear into , well gear lol

    could be ur selectors or the ball the locks the gear into place, else it might be ur idler gear perhaps but id say the selector gate thing thats stop u going into more then one gear at a time

    and if eddie w says it dont read betweend 13-15 volts and your car is at 2000 rpm then your nator is had it , bah if its just the rubber wiping things those a cheap as . if u have a load tester then use that its the best way to tell wewther the inside of the batt is gone
  14. ok the timing on your cam should be on ...usually the cam sprocket only go on one way .. so long as u DONT move the cam gear that is probably the worst thing u can do ...and also make sure not to turn the crank either ...if all is right then it should go on ok ...i could be wrong though ...as for you headgasket ...yes looks like it was blown and this would be why water would have benn blowing out ...it wouldve let pressure into the system before the thermo opened so there would only been one way out ...

    turboing a 4agze is not hard me and my m8 are doing it now , in saying this we have access to all the welding ,cutting,planing, and all other bits of machinary but its been simple so far , just need to get the computer sorted and it sweet . id stick with the 4age to be honest u dont wanna go straight into that kinda stuff first off u'll end up fucking it , be like most people here and get a standard motor then slowly move bit by bit after that , that way u get an idea of how everything works and so on , ke30 nice....

    at sea level the air pressure is about 14 pounds i think (1bar) , so if ur running 8 pound thats 50 percent more air getting into the engine , this should equate to 50percent more power , not quite but people wouldnt turbo their cars if it was a waste of time man

    yes u can turbo a 1600 crossflow ive seen it done a few times but for the amount of effort put in its easier to do what rt has done and inject turbo and drop a pinto in , umm as far as i can think that guy could get to about 8 punds before the engine would start complainging about it , dpend what your after a supercharger runs off a puller off your cracnkshaft , this gve u a constant amount of boost even at standstill , however a turbocharger uses 'your exhuast gases to compress the intake , this means u dont have any reduced horsepwoer due to something usuing a pulley to turn etc , however u need to get revs up high enough to turn the turbine ....turbo lag there what i think of your question , at least this one was half valid guys cummon ...
  21. ramflo sucks i got one and my god all they stop is stones , no really i dont like them and when it carby backfires it kinda melts what little there is of the filter utter crap i think ...just my opinion
  22. oh that i threw that ut and used the old one hahahahaha i thought it had something to do with the oil pump , then i broke the pump ...so i biffed it then realised what it was for after hahahaha
