  1. Engine Bay & Guards Painted + Stripe Kit Applied Engine bay and guards are all painted up and the stripe kit is on. Just need to finish under sealing the whole car, then paint for the bumpers, handles, around the windows etc. Some new rubbers might be in order to really set it off as well. Should look nice ones its sitting at the right height Front End with Paint and All New Bushes
  2. Haven't done it yet, waiting for the painting to finish then I can mount it up and figure out exactly how much to shorten it by. Will get pics up when I get there.
  3. Should be done at the painters in the next week or so, then we can drop the engine and box in. Realistically sometime in the next few months and I'll be happy!
  4. Upgrading to a Sierra gearbox and using the Sierra clutch etc is a pretty cheap and easy upgrade and then you get the bonus of a 5th gear as well.
  5. Hey bro's, just got this new daily and it has this random black stuff over the corner lights and indicators. They still seem to work fine through it. Just wondering if its legal for a WOF or if I should try and get it off before I take it through?
  6. I think having a sticker on your window more than 10cm from the edge can cause you to fail a WOF, not to mention having tints over a certain %, so would say sheet steel would be a certain fail? Don't know about having no window at all though?
  7. looking at this expired ebay listing: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FORD-ANGLIA-PREFECT-TIE-ROD-END-/220846781525 These vehicles all have the same (though the others are probably rarer than your 105) -Ford Anglia/Prefect 100E. Popular. 1953-62. -Prefect 107E 1959-61. -Anglia 105E 106E 1959-67. -Prefect 107E 1959-61. -Anglia estate 105E 1961-67 That listing went for 5 pounds and says they ship internationally so you might find some other cheap ones on there if you poke around though.
  8. There's one on TradeMe for $300 but that seems pretty excessive. How about $100 with the manifold if you can find someone to take it up for you and if its not the carby just send it back down?
  9. If it is the carby, I have a 32/36 Weber on the manifold for sale. Just pulled it off the engine working fine. You're welcome to try it out and see if that's the prob if you can get someone to take it up from Welly.
  10. Just go though and change all those [ i m g ] blocks so your URLs don't have the "?action=view&current=" part in them.
  11. Ah right, looking at the source of the page all the links still have "?action=view&current=" in them though so maybe he edited something different
  12. Your post hasn't been edited so you mustn't have saved it. You need to edit the post.
  13. Hadn't looked too much into the tailshaft modification yet, I just came across this guide in my travels so looks like it can be done without too much trouble: http://www.british-cars.net/mg-midget-sprite-technical-bbs/5-speed-type-9-gearbox-gear-lever-position-200810110843355749.htm Staying with the cable clutch and using the Sierra bell-housing / fork. Will also make up a custom backplate. Cheers! Matt
  14. Cheers man. I'm going with the T9 at the moment aye, have a new sierra clutch and have modified the escort flywheel to suit. Will also be modifying the tail-shaft on the gearbox to bring the leaver forward so I can keep the original shifter hole. Here's a couple of pics:
  15. Cheers man, it's getting a 1600 back in it with a bit of work done to it. Once the cars painted then the next step is dropping this in and getting it running, battery will be mounted in the boot at the same time and engine bay tidied up (Deloomed, alloy radiator with nice hoses etc). Will be swapping those dellortos out for from recon'd webers as well.
  16. Actually... I think its because you linked to the page with the picture on it, not the actual image itself. Go through and change your image links to go from like this: http://s1176.photobucket.com/albums/x32 ... 6_full.jpg to be like this: http://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x32 ... 6_full.jpg So basically just delete the bit from each image that says: ?action=view&current= Chur
  17. Same for me.. did some snooping and its because your photobucket album is set to private.
  18. Thanks bro! Yep, have heaps of space under the guards to get it sitting really low now so maximum lowness will be a top priority
  19. Front Air-Dam Front air dam is on and molded to the body, looking good I reckon. One more Flare and a then its almost ready for the paint shop.
