  1. I have a Morris 1622 engine that I have had running on a pallet
  2. Ideally take it to the engine shop get them to do a clean and check for cracks, and once it's clean and the valves removed the seat can be checked. So these don't have seats originally but with different keepers it's had valve work before. On the pic of #4 combustion chamber between the valve and spark there's a line of rust dust that is possibly the valve seat moving but I can be wrong. If it is it's not much for a shop to cut/fit a larger seat. Block you can clean yourself but best results need to remove core plugs and water pump, and if was seized there maybe something else damaged that you have to disassemble the rest of the engine to find
  3. Nice car, but that engine needs a lot of work, #4 cylinder is a different generation valve spring and keepers and probably valves, there looks like one of the valve seats looks like it is possibly moving, and lastly there's probably more coolant flow in a dry drag racing engine, I'd hate to see how blocked the radiator is.
  4. Here is the last work I did on this Last year before the garage wiring decided to quit power to the outlets not the lights tho. Have not fixed
  5. You can buy a parts vehicle out of Japan, still quite cheep at present
  6. I've wanted to import a compagno for some time as they are interesting and Toyota likes to forget about the other brands made some better vehicles before 1966. Daihatsu used that engine during the 70s in rebadged publicas and corollas
  7. So I'm stopping on the front of the guard as I have to assemble vehicle to see how the bumper sits over it to finish it up (have also thought of changing to a spare bluebird bumper) So rust treatment then flip
  8. Somewhere on the net I found data on the pickup that confirmed that the 1/2ton pickups are 15" wheel and 5x5" stud pattern and larger drum brakes. The diff looks quite large also But I can't find the link again. It's a rabbit hole, plenty of information on the saloon and traveler but not the van or ute
  9. I've been avoiding this patch as it was way too complex, after many tries I gave up to a two peice
  10. Then I tried to mix up some old paint 1L Dark met purple/blue+ 2L beige = Some sort of battleship grey/green with little metallic Also I painted a airfilter lid and snorkel
