  1. Ughhh im super on the fence. No wipers in the rain is not fun
  2. Do you mean gauge or sender? There is no sender in the tank, needs to be cut into it and fitted. The fuel gauge is stock KE20.
  3. How would I find out what Ohms range my fuel gauge has? Setup a potentiometer with volts gauge, set it to an arbitrary figure like 90 Ohms full, then connect to 12v with the potentiometer on the gauge and see where the needle reads at? Need to fit a sender to my fuel cell but they seem to have different Ohm amounts. If the stock ke20 gauge is different to what is available in the senders am I stuck with having to buy an aftermarket fuel gauge with the matching ohms?
  4. Also been a while whats the go with stickers?
  5. Gedderdivit. No work trips planned for the month so I'm good!
  6. This on for 23rd this month? Been a while since my attendance but keen for burgers and boes!
  7. Haha yeah might have to wait for the mrs to recover from me buying the car before I start doing that!
  8. Just has a W55 in there at the moment.
  9. Also, wow @ Toyota Tax on W series gearboxes now. If anyone comes across a decent priced W57 I'd be interested.
  10. Yeah, could be worse wheels, least they're Works and not Rotas/TBC/Linglongs
  11. Need to double check but I think they're 315mm.
  12. Miso solly. Was always going to be pushing it but work and gearbox being gay really put the nail in the coffin for that. Ah well plenty more events to come!
  13. Something 15x8 rear, 15x7 frontwould be ideal Neil but yeah at the moment issue would be finding something to clear the FD's bulbous calipers. Can't go too overboard at the moment with changing things as the mrs will have a hernia but it's on the cards.
  14. Basically all I have done so far is change out the diff fluid for some new LSX90, put some Redline HD Shockproof oil in the box as it was a bit noisy (this helped heaps) and oil change. I need to get a fuel sender for the Jaz cell as I currently have no idea how much I have in there and need to mount the wiper motor on the passenger side (normally up under the pedal box) so I can drive and see when raining! I have raised the front coilovers slightly as the roadtrip back from Whakatane was harsh as balls on the front as it kept bottoming out. Need to check level and see if the back needs to come up to suit. Wheels are quite big, main issue with changing wheels are the FD3s front brakes as the calipers are huge on them. Other than that, enjoy, do drags, track and cruise the hell out of it!
  15. Here goes! Ever since I sold the RT40 I have had a yearning for another high powered old Toyota. Two years of grinding away at renovating a shitty house and I finally have the time & money to enjoy an OS car again. Priorities changed somewhat however and the idea of starting a project like that from the beginning after this house renovation scared me and my bank balance. So after some arm twisting and dinner cooking for the mrs it was decided to go and search for something "finished". This little car was mentioned to me by some Oldschoolers and I had followed the build thread of it over on Toyspeed since it's inception. I guess I'll start with some specifications from the previous owner (because I'm lazy) and pictures from today after I had given it a wash, machine polish & wax to a level I was happy with! 18. https://opencorporates.com/companies/nz/2203470 Ill try find his mobile but he does a lot of car stuff. Can't seem to find his deets online
  19. What are you wanting Sodablasted? Sodablasting is a dying art now and can cause more trouble than it's worth if you don't have a good operator and a lot of it stuff can be fine sandblasted with similar results. Can recommend a heap of blasters in Christchurch, some mobile too but not all sodablast.
