  1. Good suggestions here, looking for some one reasonably priced to change the inserts in my race seats.
  2. I saw this! Awesome, you're more internet famous that before!
  3. God knows! I have never received them. Probably easier to rip some off a car a Tony's anyway.
  4. How about those clear indicator covers
  5. I'm still going to be using my 195/50s as not keen to shell out for new tyres at the moment and the current ones were expensive/are still good/I don't skid enough. I did think about whiting the "GOODYEAR" and "EAGLE F1" though, could look cool. Mostly together. It's all hand tight at the moment so need to go over it with a socket/allen key. ALSO - putting this together I find I have received back from the platers, 40 nuts, 40 washers, and 39 god damn bolts. Will have to head to the bolt shop on Friday and try find an exact replica.
  6. Alright and we're back. Lips have been polished, all the bolts have been replated, centres have been stripped and repainted in gunmetal - huge thanks to Levi (LS 2 THE DEEE) for painting them for me. I haven't put them all back together yet, but here is the first one mostly done: Image does NOT do justice to how happy I am!
  7. Yeah, I decided it wasn't the best idea and needed 20mm+ spacers to get the look right. Should look fine.
  8. No to cream. I like the look of them in the pictures (the colour that Brad had painted them) I posted earlier. The other colour I was thinking is that teal colour. This colour
  9. At the moment I'm leaning towards gun metal unless Richie pulls through with some awesome yellow on yellow pictures Cheers Levi, sounds good!
  10. What do you mean by this? Yellow?
  11. Hey guys, just want some opinion on these SSRs. I've had the lips polished and have stripped the paint off the centres. What colour should I have them painted? I'm thinking of just redoing them in gunmetal. Looking back on these pictures I'm pretty happy with how this looks. Also, I sold those 165s and am back to using my 195s. Grip over hype.
  12. Cool car man. Saw one of these driving down Ponsonby Rd today, got my head turning. Looked like it had mild slammage.
  13. Sweet as. I'm just going to clean up the ports/chambers, add in a mild cam and perhaps up the comp a bit. 60hp would be cool
  14. I am looking at a few sets but they are smaller, around the 32/34mm mark. 32mm http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing ... =492339698 http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing ... =491902449 34mm http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing ... =492006733 36mm http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing ... =492336133
  15. 2x 32mm carbs, I imagine, would be similar to 2x 1.25" SUs. Here is a mini with 2x Fireblade carbs (between 900 and 1000cc engines). http://www.miniaddicts.co.uk/forum/show ... php?t=3216 Richie, not sure a big down draft will fit under the bonnet.
  16. These carbs? BMW R80 - http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/motorbi ... 271786.htm
  17. Also another option. There are actual manifolds for this but very hard to find. However, sideys are relatively expensive (compared to those mini bike carbs for $35 each).
  18. You are correct. Unfortunately I read that and IDA will hit the bonnet. D - I was thinking two big ones would be the best plan. Will look into the IDA,too, KK.
  19. Reckon that would work? 2 carbs per inlet port?
  20. Righto, so I've got a 1256 that I'm rebuilding/doing a bit of head work/cam/not a whole lot. I am interested in putting bike carbs on this thing, however, they have siamesed inlet ports, i.e. 1 port for 2 cylinders, like an upside down Y: ⅄⅄ These engines often use twin SUs, which if I'm right are similar to some bike carbs. So, I should be able to use two bike carbs similar to the size of the SUs (1.5"). I have seen one Mini (1275) with dual bike carbs and it appeared to work well. Question is how do I size these? I think the Mini guy used carbs from some Yamaha 850 V-Twin, and made up a linkage. IS i9t best to use V-Twin carbs, or get a bank of 4 and try cut them down? Thanks guys.
  21. I've got the workshop training manuals for the HA. Good technical drawings in there.
  22. It's all awesome, both cars. I'd be super keen for any info on HA. Especially lowering the front!
  23. Yeah. I know it's worth while, just should be spending $400 on the Gem, not my daily.
  24. I want it but don't want to spend that much on this. Will probably use a 28/36.
