Here's another custom made aerodyne cab. Mack never made these this was fabricated. Got burnt out one time and was rebuilt. Still around semi retired to a farm near Otamarakau.

fuso changed their name to mitsi coz of early issues with thier v8s. 

then changed it back to fuso late 90s for similar haha

 

I think the change back to Fuso in NZ came about when a couple of wheels came adrift off a couple of different Mitsis and caused a bit of motorway mayhem. There may have even been a death or two.

Hmmmm let's change the name so it looks like it wasn't us.

At this time if your Mitsi truck went in for mechanicals or a service it came back with Fuso badges lol.

Another cool Ole beast from back in the day. You couldn't get an aerodyne cab from International so this was custom made. RL Maine always had Sharpe gear.

Registering interest as a backup support vehicle. Is this route achievable in a standard Hilux or would something more capable be required?

Retro fitted with a Detroit. They had to raise the cab among other things to fit them in. They were nicknamed "Hiroshima Screamers"

Early mitsi

Yes there was a bit of badge engineering going on as the last of the TM beddies went on the road. GM was in bed with Isuzu for a couple of years. Shame you couldn't get a Detroit in the Isuzu. I know Gills in Huntly were retro fitting Detroits into the first Fusos. They were quite successful.

Welcome to Milwaukee. As @RUNAMUCK says the grinders are awesome. I still have my original one from the kit and I cant kill it. Awesome for tidying up welds with a flapper wheel.

If you work with timber the multitool is a must have. The leaf blower is also a great piece of kit, you will never use a broom to sweep again and they are sweet for helping a fire to take hold.

I have just purchased the grease gun. Love it. Makes those pesky pre start proceedures much more enjoyable.
