so my current thinking is to pull the forks out and give to a bike shop to do
Do that. Most shops will be happy to sort the forks by themselves. Quite an easy job but also very easy to fuck up and then you just end up having to pay for someone else to do it anyway/or pay for more seals/dust caps/more fork fluid. Should be 1-1.5 hours labour max if the forks are out.

For what it's worth, restricted test is harder and longer than the full license. Was for me anyway. Geddit done, then get your full and never worry again.
Plus if you ride bikes over seas your insurance might actually cover you if you bin it with a full license.- 4

Alright people, I have a strict Tuesday/Saturday upload schedule. So this video won't be searchable and public till Tuesday - I'd appreciate the link not being shared around till Tuesday.
BUT for oldschool.co.ng members, I shall post it below. Mainly because @Roman and I have already watched it and are impatient. Please interact with the video if ya like it. Was very very very very fun to come and check out a car in it's natural? habitat. Okay, enough advertising my own film project in someones build thread. Here's the link:

Haha, yep he mentioned you a few times. You should be safe, he no longer has any small bikes. He was a nice, but slightly odd chap.
He's gone full sustainability and looking into communes around NZ to join. Good times. Welded a few of my bike things up before. Good luck with the bikes. Do a big Suzuki skid!

Did you get to meet the Viking lad selling them @Vintage Grumble? Tried to palm those off to me after sending a lot of messages asking for help and I still haven't replied.
Dodged that bullet. Yeeehaw.- 1

So much of me likes this:
Despite seeing the shitty quality on the 350s and 500's and the average quality on the Himalayan - I like the Interceptor. Only seen once in the flesh. Never ridden. But yeah. Not bad to look at.

That sounds right, but I'm also possibly full of shit cos I just swapped what I thought was a straight front end on and now it's identical lol
Eh, people would bin them and have bent forks, put straight forks in and just send it even though the clamp was bent. Seen that a bit with customers doing their own work.
We'd be doing 3-4 sets of Roma front ends a month and 2-3 Adlys. -
Is that an Adly? Triple tree will bend at the sight of a curb. Supplier always had good stock of fairings too may have been replaced at one point then re scratched.
