Sorry for dredging up an old topic. I have an HQ 6cyl that I want to fit power steering to, trouble is I'm not sure how many of the steering components need changed. I know the following: Power steering box - have one Power steering pump - hoping the vb commodore one I have can be used Pump hoses - will get generic items made or buy second hand Double pulley - have one Pump bracket - hoping I can adapt the vb commodore one or make one Belts - easy found locally Pitman arm - will need to find Shaft coupling - will need to find What else will I need to find and swap out??? I have a couple of fr80s i plan to restore one day, I learned to ride on one 25 years ago and rode it to school for 2 years, I've been looking for my original one for years, your one didn't used to sport 55HRM as a plate by any chance?

Looks like a fun upgrade going on there. I have an AX100 motor with a lightly scored cylinder that's been sitting in the corner of the shed for 15 years if your interested, I'm in the South Island unfortunately. Includes kickstart and carb .
