  1. So plans changed and the further i got into it the more of a POS i found out it was, i decided ill strip most of it back and fix the most serious rust then give it a paint to make it presentable for the next couple of years, after i finish one of my other projects i will then continue to strip this right back to a shell and get the car refurbished properly. For now ill just make the most of it and enjoy it, its far from perfect but it will be used! In the process of getting rust fixed then she got primed. She done got all painted, just keeping it white for now. Also whats peoples opinions does it look better with or without the stripe?
  2. I'm not really impressed with the seqeunce of the gearbox, is there another engine I can put in so I can have the gears all up,I know the later cg125 engines are 1 down 4 up. And should I paint the engine black then sand the fins back? I'm really enjoying this project!
  3. This weekend i decided the pull the front mud guard and the luggage rack off. I then painted the wheels and bottom of the forks to see what that would look like, im pretty happy with the way it looks so far, I just need to get rid of the chunky seat and the rear mud guard as soon as possible.
  4. After wanting a little run a round bike for a while i finally got lucky and found a decent one. I took the bike in for a wof right away and to my surprise the bike went straight though after sitting for 2 years. i never thought small bikes could be so fun! ive been riding this thing everyday. I dont wanna get to drastic with modifications but im wanting to: Paint the wheels black, Get rid of the mud guards make/purchase a smaller seat, get some smaller lights, and possibly some lower bars.
  5. Thats a sweet helmet! did you get yours from Nz?
  6. Awesome build! were did you get your forged pistons from? im looking at getting the WBC ones but unsure yet. Thanks
  7. Sweet! looks good! its awesome watching this build thread as im doing similar rust repairs on my one at the moment i look forward to seeing all the new steel welded in!
  8. @Snoozin Yeah im sure its gonna be pretty bad the further i get! but like you said it could be alot worse! so it will be saved!
  9. @Big Value Buddy Thanks man! thats a sweet idea ill definitely leave it on haha!
  10. So after searching and searching i finally found my self one of these fine wagons! i had a few wanted posts out! and finally the long awaited day came! were i got a text from a guy who said he has one for sale! the car was located in the south island in bluff! which was a fair away from were i am located. we agreed on a price then i sorted a transport company to bring it over! i payed way to much for it! but it dident bother me at all! just wanted to find one so bad. so when it first arrived i was just so dam happy with it! It definitely needs some work but its all repairable! the previous owner got the tailgate repaired and did a few small jobs, but thats about it. he just said he drove it for years until it got to rough then he replaced it with a saloon one, The car got imported in 1972 so it was only registered in England for one year! anyway im just pretty excited for this one! favorite wagon i have had so far! im so so eager to have it on the road! i wanna just be doing road trips and camping missions in it already haha! so i guess at this stage i aint gonna go through all the effort and restore it! im just gonna fix all the rust and get everything working properly! just enough to get it on the road! i wont bother respraying it at this stage yet either! ill just to paint touch up nothing wrong with abit of patina! i recently purchased some nos panels too! so later down the track ill strip it down and give it the love it needs! the interior is not the best either ill probably deal with it for now, and eventually get it retrimmed to the nice tan color they come in! The car runs! but not great haha! still haven't decided what im gonna do about this, i think i might just chuck some carbs on it just to get it up and running right! i already have a pi saloon, so one unreliable cars enough for now! What should i do for wheels? i was thinking of getting some 15 inch ssr formula mesh wheels from japan? i see that Beavers old 2000 wagon had some banded steels on! that looked pretty cool! i fitted some 14x8 ssr starsharks on the other day, im not fully convinced they look great yet tho! they look too shiny for it haha! but my mind might change once the cars lowered! some hopefully by my next update this car will be on the road! but my deadline is for wagnats next year! which is ages away! i would take the Herald wagon but i think thats too small to fit a mattress in the back haha! should be good either way! Mind the long lawns haha!
  11. Not to much has happend! just been driving it heaps really, went to some random park up the other night and some cool photos were taken. probably gonna be listing it on trade me soon tho, i wouldn't mind finding a old bike.
  12. Thanks for all the help i have been getting from people. Not to much has happend but i i gave it a quick little polish, it come up much better than i expected. Also picked up some lowering springs the back looks good but the fronts still too high, so i might get the fronts springs compressed a little. its looking pretty cool tho. Also test fitted some other wheels 14x7 Enkei Crossfever im leaning towards keeping the Work Equips tho. Also have some 14x8 ssr Starsharks that ill test fit, once i get tires for them. assume they will be to wide tho.
  13. Thanks heaps for that! Does it have to be a sigma five speed? Or do the l200 ones bolt right in? Yup sounds good the car should be road worthy soon, so I'll be keen on driving up in it and grabbing that stuff! My alternator has also stopped working, would you have a alternator to suit a 4g32? Thanks for the help.
  14. Sweet Wagon! Did your rear springs stay captive with those springs you put in? Or did you find other shocks or get those ones shortend? thanks
  15. Just rust repairs really. I wanna take my time and do it all properly, Interior needs a bit of love too, Injection gear most likely needs to be refurbished. But its getting there, planing to have it on the road this year! im following the project thread off your one, yours is perfect haha. Ill start a project build of my one soon, also have a pi saloon that ill have to make a forum for too.
  16. After selling my hillman hunter estate i wanted to find another suitable daily. I found a Triumph 2500pi estate, but that has turned into more of a project then a expected. So then this sweet Sigma popped up for a fair price. Its pretty straight and tidy. interior is immaculate, Its only done 115,000.kms from new. still has the original 1600 4g32 4 speed Manuel. Plans are to give it a cut and polish, some lowness and either some banded sigma steels or some nice alloys. Does anyone know the best way to lower these cars? is there any other springs i can use? And is it worth converting it to five speed? is it a easy job? I then fitted some 14x6.5 work equip 02,s on. The car needs to be lowered so bad its looks ridiculous at this height.
  17. The journey has come to a end, I have sadly sold the car.
  18. Sweet thanks for that, Is It all good to take the keeper springs out of coil overs to get the front lower? And i actually never thought of having a full length roof rack but that actually sounds like a really good idea. Thanks man
