  3. What about the modern Toyotas that don't have a gauge, just a big red panic light? Is it likely to be to late to save it by the time the light comes on? Perhaps this discussion should be taken to the tech spam thread?
  4. The look on your face in that first start vid said so much. Now we all just want to see it driving.
  5. Just read this whole thread. An amazing concept that really deserves to be finished.
  6. If you swapped in the 1256 engine how many wof guys would even notice?
  7. Buick/Rover 215 (3.5ltr) V8. Fits easily, has been done before so the knowledge is out there, and due to its alloy block weighs little more than the original iron block four cylinder.
  8. You can get away with that sort of thing on a commercial vehicle but I don't believe you can with a passenger car. I'm sure some of the wof mechanics on here will be along to confirm or deny that in due course.
  9. Is that from a movie in which a pair of American teens inadvertently access NORAD and almost start WW3?
  10. If it has that one casting flaw how bad is the rest of it?
  11. This is amazing. A one family owned survivor still in working order. How well does it hold a tune?

  14. Loving the '50s diner vibe you've got going there Gordon. Where's the jukebox?
  15. Almost sounds like a diesel engine compression ratio. As a comparison the spec sheet for my tractor says 16:1 compression.
  16. Will be interesting to see how that stands up in court. Undoubtedly someone will take a test case, thereby setting a precedent for others to follow.
  17. Guy I went to tech with had an early 80s Sigma on cutties. Used to swap back to stock springs for wof day. Reckoned first time he swapped the springs it took him all day but after he'd done it a few times he got down to under two hours.
  18. Not my thing but I can sure appreciate the time, thought, and skill that goes into creating these artworks.
