  5. Engine looks to be of the suzuki TF/TS family as mentioned above, by the looks of the clutch and cable set up. frame could be anything...
  6. shiiiiiiiit so it looks ive double booked myself for this weekend. blardy hopeless. how is everybody placed for the 17th ? or we can do the 3rd or 4th if the D1 finishes or whatever. really wanna make this happen but events have transpired against me, hopefully you all have completely free schedules the week before christmas and can drop everything to sink beers and compare areas of rust

  10. I have a vw golf grille that needs to be picked up in Wellington off a wrecker, could anyone grab it for me and package it up real nice and send it to qt? Wrecker didnt have anything suitable to pack it with so would prolly be ruined by the time it got to me. Or even hold on to it for me would be grouse Unsure of exact location but will confirm this. Compensation will be duly provided. Thanks!
  11. already got a set of them G... puhuhu nah surely can do better than BBS mesh for how much they go for these days. i am trawling yahoo jp for the right set of 4x100s to pop up
  12. ahh bugger! cheers for your help cobber. M M, you have a pm my friend
  13. cheers M M. if neal cannot source them ill let you know. it's the front door exterior trim, for late model small bumper golf. every wreck ive found has either been an early model, 3 door or the trims have already been nabbed. initially for my first golf, i priced up H&R Springs and Bilstein shocks for around $7-800 iirc from Autolign. i really cbf with the cert process involved with coilovers and handling is a high priority. i'd be happy with a 30-40mm drop all round tbh, but so many cheap coilover options available haha
  14. I called last week with no response haha Neal mayte that would be grouse! Most important are the front door trims for each side. Pm me to discuss further if you can help
  15. Can anyone lead me in the right direction to a wreck or getting some trim pieces for a 4 door? VW Heritage has everything but shipping is killer. looking for opinions on best suspension options, this thing needs stiffer shocks and suspension asap haha.
  16. awesome! will keep an eye out for you at the burt.
  17. If you enjoyed this: and discussing the finer points of this while indulging in a couple of these THEN COME ALONG TO THE OLD SCHOOL CENTRAL OTAGO FANDANGO V2 this meet will be held at the Cromwell Classic Car Show down Alpha St on the 21st of Jan in 2017. it is one of the biggest in the south island, so would be cool to get more people tagging along to this! details here http://www.cromwell.org.nz/news--feature-stories/its-classic-car-hot-rod-time might even talk to the board of directors in capital city about waving the OS banner at the show. will discuss at next general meeting. Top bloke Kiwi808 has pulled a few strings with the local vinage car club to open up their clubrooms and parts shed exclusively to us Oldschoolers before the barrys can get their sweaty, mopar memorabilia-clutching hands on the goodies inside. details will be distributed closer to the time. if anyone wishes to make a trip of it they are more than welcome to crash at mine, and i believe Johnny has space on his lawn also. so go on, get cheryl to iron your favourite 2004 Team Kiwi Racing polo, and get stuck in!
  18. Luggate pub sounds nice. keen 4 lake lap, maybe Wanaka/Hawea isn't necessary
