  1. It's trademe, anyone can bid on them if they want to. If you want dibs email the seller and tell him that haha. Just kidding. You can have those ones and i'll just get the next pair for sale. Saves both of us paying ridiculous amounts for them, as there doesn't seem to be too much demand for them here and the people that do want them are willing to pay heaps
  2. just saw everyone elses posts expressing interest, fuck
  3. They must've just come up or somehow i missed them!! exactly what i'm looking for, no one else bid on these!!!!!!
  4. Does anyone on here have any sweet speakers they wanna sell? Want something to chuck in the back of the ke70 and quite like the pioneer ts-x series ones and also same era alpine and hitachi 2/3 way speakers. Not fussy at all just dont want to put some gay 6x9 boxes in or cut holes in the door cards. Have had no luck finding anything on trademe and thought i'd ask here/maybe make a wtb thread before buying some from japan.
  5. http://high-top-fade.blogspot.co.nz/2012/03/ke70-toyota-ke70-corolla-at-honmoku.html love the look of that ke70 ^, would get stickered for the tyres 100m down the road over here though ahha not sure if its easy to do twin headlight conversion/kinda like the singles anyway.
  6. @seedy al, yeah that was another idea i had, would look quite cool with pinstripes! @roman, i still see that sort of thing fairly regularly, but yes doesn't seem to be as popular as it used to be. Will most likely be focusing on keeping this thing looking super tidy and just chucking it on some sweet wheels.
  7. Big value buddy, yeah I think it may be the same one!
  8. There will be no modgies, bolt on flares or dumpy's going anywhere near this thing!! Have seen how some of the Japanese do these up and they can look super cool methinks. might post up some inspiration pics so you guys can get an idea of the style I like
  9. Yo this be the discussion thread for my ke70 //oldschool.co.nz/index.php?/topic/46354-jakes-1983-toyota-corolla-ke70/
  10. So0o0o I sold my chevette, bought a 180sx to cruise around in for a bit and then bought this from wellington. Got it pretty cheap considering its in almost original condition with pretty damn tidy original paint and almost no rust. Has low km's, old lady owner for 30 years blah blah you get the idea. Has a 4k with the 4 speed so a 5 speed swap is in the works down the track a bit. Flew down on the sunday afternoon and drove it back home with no wof, no reg and no worries haha. Ran sweet the whole way and i've just been chipping away at the list of things it needs for the wof. Once its all legal I'm gunna save up for some sweet japanese wheels and some more low. Have a front lip for it which i may chuck on and some fender mirrors coming from overseas already. Couple pics from the instamagram (excuse the shitty filters lol) Just after picking it up and getting some gas, the guy I bought left the AA and JAF badges on it too. Even came with a legit nardi! Don't think the guy really knew what they are worth so said I could have it. Has a nardi horn button to go with too. So far i've put new tyres on it, put the new carpet in, replaced the cracked tail light, bolted the seats down properly and chucked a headunit in it with a speaker hidden under the dash, will do for now. My new shocks arrived today so gunna chuck them in tonight and then it's almost wof time!!! Lemme know what you think or whatevs here //oldschool.co.nz/index.php?/topic/46355-jakes-1983-toyota-corolla-ke70-discussion/?p=1438176
  11. note to myself for next time, big red gum and electrical tape works wonders for sealing up leaks
  12. managed to seal the leak up and limp it to the mechanics, didnt leak much at all the whole way there although the temp gauge has stopped working as of this morning also. have no idea why lol. anyway took the radiator out while i was at the mechanics and they're gunna get it sent off in the morning. fingers crossed should be rolling again by the weekend!
  13. cheers for the help guys, think thats the best option too. do any of you know any good radiator places on the north shore that won't be too expensive? has allready had a couple hundred spent on the radiator being recored and shit, dont want to spend too much more on a shitty small chevette radiator haha
  14. i was just thinking of putting some gum over the crack on the base of the pipe bit that comes out of the radiator and then using some plumbing tape or something, filling the radiator up and leaving the cap off and see if stops leaking. worth a shot i guess
  15. Im doing a cisco course at ames in takapuna, and nah sadly not haha
  16. Just got to course this morning and this happened. There's a crack in the radiator where the pipe comes out of it, for the hose to go over. Not sure what to do as it was driving sweet the whole way then started pissing out as soon as I parked up. Pretty sure it happened as I turned the car off. Should I try i fill the radiator back up and limp it back home? I dont want it to overheat or lose all the water and not know about it and cook the engine. What do you guys think? Lemme know in the discussion for this could use some help haha //oldschool.co.nz/index.php?/topic/44256-jakes-1980-vauxhall-chevette-discussion/?hl=chevette
  17. So my ssr's came just over a month ago, put them on the day of the old school meet, drove it there and then on the way home the ignition stuffed out. so swapped out the luminition electronic ignition and put one of those lucas kits in and it runs heaps better now, idles nicely and doesn't backfire all day long. anyway today I went on a cruise to matakana with a couple mates and she ran sweet the whole way, furthest i've driven her since I got her heres a pic: next to come is more low, and sort out some interior bits and pieces, its had new headlining and carpet put in, just needs to be tucked in properly and the headlining reglued to the roof. here's a better pic of how it looks now the front needs to come down a bit lol
  18. mean, i have a couple mates with 1st gens that may be coming
