  1. Yeah they're expensive, but they are fairly cheap to rebuild though... Parts wise its pretty cheap...
  2. I've got some 4age parts and stuff left over - not much.. But yeah, I've got the rwd head stuff just sitting in a cabinet.. And if you're interested in SHWAGS 7afe block, you're more than welcome to it after i've bought it. I'm pretty much wanting it for the head/ parts etc.
  3. discuss / tell me off here. //oldschool.co.nz/index.php?/topic/38822-gostlys-ke35/
  4. Hey guys, so I thought i'd make a build thread/ project updater for my ke35 coupe. ( second time its been reshelled ) Discussion here: //oldschool.co.nz/index.php?/topic/38823-gostlys-ke35-discussion/ At the mo: 1979 Ke35 Corolla Blue top big-port 4AG 45mm Twin Dellortos 6AL MSD unit ( currently running the 8,000 rev chip ) 22 Spline T50 Coby extractors Custom driveshaft T series diff - 1420mm wide, currently with a 4.1:1 diff - I think 3 Piece Gallop Racing Mesh wheels. 14x6.5 and 14x7 Hydraulic clutch Jamex red reclinable seat - stick out like dog balls. OLD COFFEE BEAN SACKS on the rear seats. Smells like coffee. Cut up/ modified Luggage rack What I'm looking at doing as time passes by: Either completely rebuild the 16v and further spice up the old girl, OR 16V 7AGE with the carbs. Close ratio gearbox - instead of the crappy shortshifters they sell. 4.778:1 T series diff with some sort of LSD. Finish more of the body work. AE86 Front Coilovers. T3 Camber plates. Get the speedo working. Get the rev counter working. New carpet Panhard rods/ some crazy old rear suspension upgrades my old man is ALWAYS telling me to do. Finish replacing all the rubbers - Boot + the two doors and one side wide left. SCOUT OUT SOME KE35 GUTTER CHROME - I HAVE ONE SIDE BUT NOT THE OTHER. And then look at sorting out a Cert to make her completely legal Some old pictures of my coupe before it was all re-shelled. Some newer more nicer ones:
  5. Oh yeah? Damn man you got fairly decent prices with the aussie dollar it seems. It worked out $1120 by the time I paid for customs or whatever for just my water relocation kit + dizzy cover kit and the coil plate adapter. Would you be interested in selling the dizzy kit? Might have a need for it later on down the track. Did you end up getting the kit that allows you to use the heater and stuff?
  6. Shit dude, you got your SAMQ stuff quick as lol - took me almost 8 weeks for mine too arrive haha. Looks sick as, keep it up
  7. Hey guys, i'm very curious about this. Do you need a cert to run camber plates? On standard struts? I've been reading different things, and am wondering since I read that its illegal to have stupid amounts of - camber for a road car now unless its certed? Any help would be sweeeeet.
  8. Oh, haha sweet I'll keep my eyes open then
  9. How do you get to carpark underneath lol? The only time's i've been is when its been relatively dry and have only spotted the ramp up?? O.o Cheeeers. By the way, who do I see about a sticker? If I qualify for one yet? Is it Euron8? And how much monies do ya need for it?
  10. Wanna buy my 20v 7agte? Its being put together now... And I want/ need money for a 4.5L supercharged lexus v8 for my ae85
  11. Is this sort of stuff certable in NZ? "http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/GSP-RED-240SX-S13-S14-SILVIA-300ZX-Z32-FRONT-ADJUSTABLE-LOWER-CONTROL-ARM-ARMS-/261097098903?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3cca998e97&_uhb=1#ht_2755wt_1037" Just curious.
  12. Yeah pretty much, the guy I bought em off didn't tell me offset or anything so hey, was worth the chance. Will probably just look at selling and buying some off yahoo japan
  13. They hit everything lol. Well, the smaller ones are fine, but the rear ones flipped just hit everything haha. I'll either get some sort of flares.. or flick em off
  14. These are those steelies I bought... They seem to stick out a whoooooole heap... And have a stupidly low offset... Fronts are about -15, and the rears are around -30... And they are almost 14 kg's each without tires...
  15. What colour blue is that rollcage? Its awesome O.o
  16. Finally these arrived. 2 Months of waiting. And the second set he sent out, first didn't even make it to NZ customs -.- Exciteeeeeeeed
  17. * updaaateeeee. This turned up today: Uploaded with ImageShack.us SamQ's second kit he sent out arrived, just paid the customs bill... $120... Stupid how you end up paying tax on it multiple times... Atleast that'll be here by the end of the week. ^ This is what the engineer made up for me to make the 16v turbo manifold fit perfectly on the 20v head.. there is two of them and they will clamp down and hold it in place Annnnnd. As I asked about earlier, my 7afe crank is at the engineers now becoming an 8 bolt to fit the GZE flywheel/ clutch Probably last update for a lil... My mechanic's daughter is having a baby girl soon and he won't be working for the next couple weeks...
  18. * Update 7afe bottom gasket set arrived, 20v silvertop head gasket set arrived and SamQ's RWD waterlines/ coilpack adapter plate have arrived in the country! Massively happy due to the first set going missing over a month ago! Will throw up some pictures when the block is starting to get put together. All new bearings/ piston rings/ frost plugs have been sitting awaiting!
  19. Is it one of the old shitty stud patterns like 4x130? Had that on my '89 120L Skoda, could not find mags or anything for it besides bringing stuff in from the homeland... Goodluck with the project dude, the whole Communist car thing is pretty epic tbh
  20. * Small update.. Mechanic stripped off my 20v Silvertop for me, entire head sitting in pieces on his bench. Problem was, in the process of pulling it out, it looked like the muppet that sold it too me as a 'working' engine had somehow managed to seize the head, the cam with the VVTI had massive grooves and chunks missing out of it -.- and it looked like he had somehow heated it up as theres also burn marks all over the cams lol. Doesn't matter... I had a spare 20v Silvertop head, which was in A LOT better condition... He had a quick look at the block, and said the pistons for some odd reason looked good and there wasn't any marking on the block.. So probs just gonna flog it off on trademe for $1 reserve... Next up on the list is somehow making the Turbo manifold fit... Its obviously off a 16v head, and doesn't quite match up on the end two bolts on the 20v head, so come Monday/ Tuesday the 'newer' non buggered head will be tested/ skimmed and going to see if the Engine reconditioner can somehow add on something to make the manifold bolt onto all 5 holes properly.
  21. Yeah hahaha, same with the ones I've got, they seem a whole lot smaller too (7a ones)
  22. Nothing, they seemed to be okay, its just when I was reading up about 7age (+T) most people where saying that the best way is to just get aftermarket rods for it from the start. So I did. Probably end up flicking off the rods/ pistons/ whatever else I don't need when the engine is all bolted up into engine bay. Gotta wait for SamQ to resend the RWD waterline / coilpack kit I bought though, he sent like a fortnight ago and they havn't turned up yet
  23. Whats the what with the rods? O.o Slightly confused as to what STZ stands for lol.
