    yeah man at 70mph im actually doing 60mph so this is why i want bigger tyres on the rear so thats next weeks job to get steelies widened and bigger tyres. that would be Amazing if you did have one!! when 10speed came and had a look at it the 1st thing he said is the engine is a 1500 (i dont know the difference in anything) so going on what he said it does go pretty sweet thats for sure

    it also came with the likes of white wall flappers and a box of spear parts and a couple of books but i was juts going threw it all and found this so put it on. oh and it even came with these hopfully i find some time and chuck them on.

    here are some more photos of the bug the battery has been moved to behind the seat. going to need some long ass jumper leads if any one ever wants a jump and if you look at the back bumper here it looks a bit broken..... well yeah it was broken.... some one didnt fix the bolt they just got out a welder so i got the grinder out and fixed that last night and it had all this gay straw all over the place so yea removed all that. enough to wrap up some hay now. and yup it sure is the company run about found out what the straps on the side are good for hanging my glue gun on! perfect even fits a crappy holden seat in it. oh and yeah i did this sadly gave up and just cut the handle so i can try and fix why its not opening. so hope to fix that situation later today then go buy u new handle. dam it (face palm)

    yea was from auckland was super keen on that i shut the shop doors early (3pm) so i could go view it haha im super glad i got it myself I will take you for rides if that helps? so yeah i did do this and did cut the handle in half...... so now i need a new one.... yea i wont be changing the tyres on the front only the rears. then will apply more low and have them sitting up in my guards. we decided on going 3 inches wider to keep it nice and safe and the front tyres are 135/70/15s the back ones are 145/65/15

    just read this so il see if this works.... Before you go cutting anything!! My father used to be able to fit a 10 mm spanner up behind the bonnet and undo the bottom bolt of the handle this would allow him enough clearance to undo the top bolt then hey presto the boot is open.... This works for the early models I'm not sure if it will for the late models with the button on the handle but give it a try anyway. It might save you getting a new handle.. Also try having someone apply pressure to the handle whilst working the release some times the mechanism can get sticky due to the spring on the... (I've forgoten the polite term but we Aussie's call it the Dog's D__k) applying pressure on the latch.

    its shitty rattle can job but a scotch and some water will bring it off in a matter of a couple of scruba-dub-dubs can i get myself a midnight logo please in the chepest shits vinyl so i can make a cardboard stencil. um come have a noisy after work if you want brent il be here at the shop late trying to open the trunk cause yea il need to put gas in it. interior is pretty average but lucky i know a guy that knows how to buy trim kits for them haha

    nope i can here the cable moving the latch.... il have a closer look once i finish these jobs ive got to do. and i down loaded a speedo app on my phone that told me it was out but i would still like to get better smiles per mile so its not reeving so much. and id like a bigger tyre on the rear.

    So instead of getting my ap5 wagon going for wagon nats i went and did this instead Brought myself a 1968 VW Beetle. so thats a few pictures of it. few things in mind that i want to do like widen the rear wheels about 3 inches and also get a bigger tyre so the speedo isn't 10 mph out so i can get more smiles per mile. find some low back seats are on the list to find along side a few more things buy a scotch bright and get the silly symbol off the side so i can then put my business logo on the side (midnight upholstery) and also fix my bonnet/boot latch (the front compartment/trunk) i have mannaged to yea shut it this morning and now cant open it. massive face palm!!!! as for that il keep you updated and post some more stuff and better photos later today but 1st thing to fix is how to get into the trunk so i can fill it up with gas later duscussion here //oldschool.co.nz/index.php?/topic/46740-64-valiants-68-vw-beetle/

    so i did my bake brakes tonight and yea FARK!!!!!!!!! she is so soft!!!!! think i need to adjust the shoes quite a lot more and have a better fiddle with them on sunday. here are some photos of the new stuff in the back also got flash and screwed this on before hand after so i think the other photos have been lost so here is one of when it last had a wof and a little bit of a rust hole again that is my rear guard..... i have had a mate say i can use his hoist and he will go over my car see what we can get done so he can pass me a wof/his boss is away for a month. so need to get all my lights sorted and all that other crap make this thing legit!!!!! better fix these brakes on sunday or im going to be one un happy camper.

    oh yea this would be pretty wicked if possible but to be honest i did just grab the closest on in my back shed i could see. could dig deeper maybe find a better one and for this i have one that i was going to put on my sedan so i would end up boosting my disk brakes but im waiting to see if i can use it on my wagon but maybe we can talk more about this over beers

    with the last post i realized all my brake stuff was crap so started hunting around and all that jaz and ended up messaging a mate who works for bnt and he said yup we got your front cylinders here and your back ones will be about 40 mins away for the small price of 50 odd bucks for the lot. so yea that was tuesday. and earlier i stumbled across a thread on wagon nats, to find out it is 22 days away. so yeah best do some work on the old girl. ripped the rest of the front brakes off and yea slapped all new parts on and bleed them up. new cylinders on new shoes on. then drove her out side and took a photo quickly spun her around up the road and drove her back straight into the shed so i can now do the rear brakes tomorrow night. will put her up off all 4 wheels and adjust the brakes a bit better and give them a good bleed as well. while doing all this my cap for the brake reservoir decided to drop the guts out of it and fall apart so i went out to the trusty back shed and found another one. the rubber inside was still soft and looked brand new. the things i keep hahahahaha list of things to do is kinda huge atm and coming across more every time i work on it so i may make one tomorrow and go from there
