    drove this for the very 1st time today. not bad for 22 days ago it was on axle stands and i was cutting the other floor pan out.

    Oh and this. And geophys bos sorted me out and ida and I thought since the guys next door have a vaper blaster I'd do the nice thing and clean it up for him while I use it Nice before and after. Also some one tells me I've got 1500 axles in the rear of my vw which makes things 25 mm wider either side..... Someone wona clarify this for me. Cheers haha.

    Fuck Dave (sentradave) and Evan are fucken good. Also gotta put it to geophy also. These guys a helping a shit load with this build. Even had rhyscar over tonight helping out where he could for a little bit. Today we got water pipes completed and the base of the heater channels welded on looking stronger than ever. We assembled my front beam that I kindly borrowed off Joel. I think I'm going to have to cave in and buy a friken narrowed beam and some drop spindles to make this thing really work. Rhyscar also put my brake lines In and made it look good. Had mitchfromhilcrest pop in once his mower decided to shit the bed and quickly put him to work He made great progress on my exhuast and shit yeah it's going to be loud. Earlier in the morning I also checked to see if my engine lid will fit also. Yup that's going to fit. Wicked. Off to the painters that goes also. Ned also fucked his tyre on his way home so I sorted him a new tyre and he helped out cutting and holding stuff. These people are awesome. Thanks everyone so far helping. You guys rock.

    Most definitely not that. Have picked a colour and ppg have come aboard and sponsored the paint. Yeah buddy. Trying to sus some mirror tint now. Dave and Evan came down again today and helped out. Brought water pipe and exhaust pipe/stuff. Shit's getting done. Also picked up a supertrapp

    so a bit of an update. Dave and Evan came to town today and got crazy with a grinder. they cut/cleaned the heater channels. after that we made some progress with bolting the engine in all in and hanging there buy it self now. pretty happy with tha i then shot to phils panel and paint (mates business) we then got crazy and sanded the body and ended up painting it in primer tomorrow will run pipes so i can have a radiator and will sort out a few other parts. exhaust and what ever some one has spare time to do. pretty exciting and amped to get it done now.

    So I pulled the body off the pan. What a bloody mess that was. Rust everywhere and a lot of seezed bolts. I have entered 4s & Rotars so I have aprox 24 days to install Rotary and make it run and re upholster it also. Don't know what colour to do this one. Evan wants camo white

    Well that's that done and dusted. Sold the old girl. It was a good almost 2 years. Learnt a crap load and meet a lot of people but time has come and she has gone to a new home in whangarei. I sold her minus my 1600 twin port as I gave him options on how he can buy it. He purchased it with the old 1300 single port as he was going to rebuild it himself. Cash in hand all gone. Onwards and upwards (more or less side step) from here. He even read my hole build thread. Time for Dave to reply to his pm regarding Rotary so I can slap a Rotary bug together now.

    yea dont know what year this bad boy is but its had semaphores. he said it was a 58. il check out engine numbers later. i was hoping to put the 1300 into mine and keep my 1600 for end of next year goals (kombi) this ones body came with so many patch panels its not even funny. got new heater channels nice black seat covers got all sorts with it. and ive still got my 1300 from my bug tucked away under my bech and a 1300 in my roof chopped bug. between all of them i should be able to make a couple of semi good Volkswagens and engines.
