Dropped it off to compliance, I should have a result by the end of the week. Place your bets on what it'll fail on now

Yes, I got a new set of air shocks for the van ex USA

Dyno is booked for Tuesday so that'll be a nice birthday present to myself. It'll be good to have vtec so I can rice around and be a pest. I take back what I said about the exhaust volume. It's too loud for me, on the motorway it's good but anywhere else it's pretty loud. I'll splash out on a adrenalinr muffler a bit later and hopefully that sorts it. I should have just gone for one in the first place. I've gone through three cheaper mufflers on various cars all for which were too loud. The speedo stopped the other day on the way home, just replaced the sensor and it's all good

I had a look at the windscreen washers. The hides has broken off the connectors at the wiper base, and the pump was buggered. Luckily the hoses fit into the normal size stuff so I've run some new stuff. I've got a universal bottle/pump assembly which I'll chuck In for now to get it going. I've ordered a new pump from rock along with a new drive belt, fingers crossed it's the correct length. I noticed the battery tray had some surface rust so out it came. Gave it a wire weel and a coat of hammerite. It say on the tin direct to rust, that's all the barry in me wanted to see. And back in. I just need to extend the washer pump wires and it's good to go

Did a couple of small jobs today. @piazzanoob aligned the headlights and we chucked some fresh wiper blades on. Tomorrow I'll sort out the washers and hopefully that's all we need to do

What a annoying design of high beam switch. Bloody fiddly thingm I tested the switch and that now works. All the trim is ready installed. I'll drop it off to compliance Tuesday and we'll see what it needs. Fingers crossed it's nothing bit who knows.

So with recent developments I'll be moving out and loosing the storage. Chucked it up on book face for what it owes me and someone paid a deposit 2 hours later. I'll probably regret selling it but I've got to de clutter

I dropped it off to the mechanic this morning to get the ball joint boots sorted. If I want to get it complied this year I need to give stuff done ASAP. Realistically I have 2 weeks. If it fails compliance I don't want to be the annoying person who needs shit fixed just before Christmas. It has started surging a tad so should fit the pump and fuel filter it came with. Or put some fuel in

If you need any auto electrical stuff done in Auckland I'll sort you out -
Does anyone have a recommendation for a cheap shaft mount radio? I had a quick look on aliexpress/ebay and didn't have much luck. I really DON'T want to chop the dash and put a din sized hole in it. I'll use the stock one for now but id'd be nice to have aux/bluetooth

It is good, only issue is them rusting hah. They will probably rattle horribly but I can always put some sound deadening on

All quality speaker Installations start with horrible holes in door cards. You can make them even better with a angle grinder. Yes the window winder is close but the holes were already there. I went to open the passenger door and it wouldn't unlock. I thought it'd need more engouragememt then this happened. I managed to get it unlocked and it can stay that way until I get a new latch. The speaker is mounted on the passenger side but I ran out of fucks and didn't get any pictures

I got a bit distracted and took out some shelves, it feels even bigger inside now.

I replaced the oil pressure sensor which has also fixed a oil leak I'll align the headlights and mount the speakers then it's time to book it in for compliance. It might need a ball joint boot but I'll see how it goes

I got some bumper clips spare rails and dash trim. I saw there was a ef at zebra so grabbed the steering wheel so I have the correct wheel for max foamer points. I also got a replacement seat belt which retracts all the time instead of most of the time. Replaced the bumper brackets so there Isn't a screw holding the bumper level. While the bumper was off I went to replace the radius rod bushes but apparently the ef8 ones are different. One of the previous owners just replaced the outer two. While I had everything apart I put the better ones on the inside so it'd be easier to replace. I also figured out the fuel smell. My initial guess was the vent was leaking. It was a loose hose clamp. I initially tightened it with a screwdriver bhut clearly didn't get it. It didn't leak when I was level, only when I had it jacked up. Glad I only did a few km
