  1. 11/10 a+ etc top work @johnnyfive and @Vintage Grumble
  2. Got email, + 1 for staying at yours j5 I’ll sleep in my van also bringing @Rookie up but not sure on his plans
  3. i hope this is a accurate photo of ford crossing
  4. chuck some paddles on the back wheel problem solved!
  5. And for the trifecta of shit servicing the brake pedal felt crappy and was hitting the exhaust turns out it should have a cotter pin stopping it from sliding out, should also be greased its worn the hangers oval but It’ll be ok/might look at some sort of bush in the future so lubed and put a nail in the slot (will find a washer and pin today)
  6. Oh and every time a hit the curb into my driveway what I thought was the front shocks was actually the loose head bearing so removed cleaned greased and tightened soo much smoother/maybe a bit tight
  7. Also pulled the rear wheel of to check the brakes (they are fine and bigger than older cubs just to make it a pain/won’t swap with my other bike) the bearing was toast and had been spinning in the housing so replaced front and rear bearing and loctite in old cub manual says to fill with grease ( nzpost clearly never have) figured id just leave them sealed both sides as they’re pretty cheap to replace and minimal mess
  8. The front fairings are pretty crap so decided I’ll try some lace painting on them, came out pretty good although ones def got a bit more green thus brighter but meh
  9. They’re just standard paint pens can buy for a dollar each delivered from Ali too
  10. Yeah hoping that and the loctite does it /can’t be any worse than it is now
  11. Pulled scooter apart too check back brakes bearings spinning freely in the alloy housing whacked them out and backsides of them are open to absolutely no grease so purchased some new ones on the way home and some loctite 680, I hope that works oh and grabbed some of supercheaps finest lime green rattle can paint
  12. Haha I slipped it on and tested for noise, was far to quiet so gave the disk a Runamuck spec drill port then welded it on
  13. i read that as something completely different the first time! "10" dio"
  14. @Rookie yeah can fit another bike will be going through Taupo on Thursday send me a pm and well sort it
  15. oh yeah mentioned on fb the other day but will put here that im heading up from kapiti/wellington in a van with just my bike so have a bit of spare room if anyone needs stuff freighted up
  16. still only filled the tank once! /need to go for more rides /no longer have a fuel gauge nor reserve tap
  17. @Urbankiwi there was a rolling body on f.book last week https://www.facebook.com/groups/1484311775128761?view=permalink&id=2445997998960129
  18. Oh and I had taped up the unused light holder from the original dash yeah they’re made of squishy rubber prob what actually killed the rectifier added bonus of now using dc circuit is its fused too
  19. So yeah that happened, whilst looking for a wiring diagram (figured should be similar to a grom which is popular in USA and lots of english sites) found you could buy a rectifier that just puts out dc for the lights so can also run led lights I stumbled across this http://tripageled.com/store/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=182 so just need a jumper wire to the DC brake circuit seems easy and free there was a aux switch already wired into the brake circuit for a extra taillight that I assume they used on the post bag that would of been on the back so chopped that and put into the headlight wire from the rectifier hey presto I now have switchable headlights and working led display
