  1. Looking in to the innovate stuff realised its american $ most likely so the setup i was looking at was getting to be around NZD$650 then shipping. The spartan 3 can that do 0-5v output? i see it does CAN i'm not quite there with my skill set trying to integrate into the stock network i'd likely fuck that up or spend an inordinate amount of time and money learning how. sound reasonably priced.
  2. However looking forwards to some fabrication like the exhaust and reverse inlet manifold, still wanting to look stock as possible even with the bonnet up if I can.
  3. @Stu I'm kind of reluctant to to fit something with a big ghastly led gauge that lights up the cabin. I liked the innovate SCG-1 because it's the an oled screen and does quite a lot for a single extra device in the cabin. I'd probably fit in glovebox anyway. I would use a wideband controller and laptop but for trouble shooting it might be nice to still have a screen giving me data independent of the ecu. Breaking new ground for myself going oem ecu. There is a calibration you can upload to scale the wideband so data logging can be read with rest if information. I'm using Tunerpro to edit calibration files etc which I think I have about 60% got my head around have gone for a very well documented setup. I've tried not to use garbage for this build there's really good stuff but some proven cheaper products too. Hopefully that all works out for me. Guys in ozzy are getting solid results where the ecotec plus turbo thing has been around a while and surviving. In short novice! Will probably set fire to my laptop at the track with a few clicks and send rods into sump.
  4. Clever people, What are you running for a wideband sensor? Ive got an innovate scg-1 in my cart waiting for oldschool brains trust to offer some wisdom V=SCG-1: Boost Control & Wideband Air/Fuel Ratio Gauge Kit, ALL-IN-ONE (innovatemotorsports.com) Does boost control too seeing as i need that seems like a good option.
  5. Long time between posts.... so just bought someone else turbo ecotec project eg all the bits to get the turbo on, plus another turbo which will be up for grabs I'll be running mine rather than this thing. Surprisingly expensive build im 10x the cost of the car and counting now to be fair car was cheap as fuck originally. Will maybe be at dragday as a spectator this year. But lookout this summer! Going to have to do something about the paint too poor things not so great got hit by a garden shed in a storm a wee while back.
  6. It's a roller, chains even connected to engine 1 wheel bearing from been ridable. Ass end got mounted to engine plate in end as its pretty sturdy allows the scooter frame to be less stressed. Just cables brake calliper mounts and a new back wheel to wrap this up. Have all except the wheel.
  7. This things legal again just in time to park up for winter. Got this kicking around tape measure says it'll fit the spot rest is mere details. Once this 2 stroke pisses me off again I might spring in to action..... currently it's dripping petrol and stinking out garage watch this space.
  8. Been a while last rode this a few months back beat the shit out of it broke a few things off. Has sat since. Got offered reasonable money for frame so have sold it retaining the engine for a cunning road legal project. She's done me well.
  9. DR200 or accept the 125cc is as good as it gets seems best option here. I can get fairly carried away but for this seems like to much effort for minimal gain.
  10. Needs a quiet exhaust to dull out the moo and let ITBS scream their tits off.
  11. Make a new Epoxy nub then very carefully and slowly drill and tap it use a cork gasket should out live you if you never gorilla it tight in future.
  12. Just had an online yarn about putting 275's on bmw x5 rims where turns out they'll fit the fronts as below nice and square...... maybe I find something wider for the back like a 295 and go full never slip again spec. Rims I'll be going to are 9" front and 10" out back just got to find a set, not uncommon but can be overpriced or trashed.
  13. Did it as part of a vehicle restoration course decades ago on some aluminium pipe and steel, heaps of heat needed and patience. I have done with copper before making coils for my whisky still worked really well.
  14. If someone wanted to donate a kirby I'll totally bang a Briggs and stratton or nitro plane engine on for a "Cordless" one.
  15. I Up next I'll post my sex toy restoration business....... I don't actually do that but jeeze people on here would have it a 1000 comments deep fast.
  16. My girlfriend doesn't know how to roll a lead up and the old one absolutely twisted itself to a lethal pile of knots and split insulation. This is a trial standard construction spec lead that will reach every corner of the house from one power point its resisted the twists so far and flattens out if you leave it somewhere warm.
  17. Haha nope I'm the human equivalent of a bakery pie so have always run a mattress protector for that exact reason.
  18. I knew there'd be someone else with one on oldschool. They are pretty handy once you get used to using them and will suck up nuts and bolts if your not careful and survive. 2 I have are Sentria's so apparently 2006 onwards, not many differences just more rounded off design
  19. I kinda got sucked into (pun not intended) buying extra vacuums to get all the attachments for the one I already had. My old man used the spray attachment to hose used engine oil on the fence like stain and weed killer all in one. His neighbours thought he was nuts out on the lawn vacuuming the fence......
  20. Watched this build from some Russian dudes they do some bizarre yet awesome stuff this a composite bonnet using carpet as the base turns out amazing. Some very good information for those players using resins too, enjoy. https://youtu.be/6zev3HJ5n5Y
  21. @keltikYup it's a mulching vacuum. Really good for detailing cars because you can chop and change attachments and suck up dry fries out from under your seats. You can even get a paint sprayer for it.
  22. Hey Doug if your willing to poke them on a courier to the Waikato im sure they would go to good use.
