So this happened - genuine FR17

I’m getting stepped 18” lips and inners with the desired end result being 18x10 and 18x8.5 with as much dish as I can squeeze under the guards.

Got this lot for the clutch/brake pedal and shaft.

14x8 riveted 5 slots are now in the shed. The tyres suck and need to be binned for some white walls but hey.

did a quick lap around the block and passed an undercover cop coming the other way (reg hold no wof). I hightailed home and closed the garage door as fast as I could. He came past and the evidence was gone.

Thanks to Angus Fogg at Foggys Garage, I now have a template to make a 10mm bracket to mount my Hurst Competition Plus shifter to the Toploader.

So this happened - the 6 cylinder and auto is out. 
 

The engine bay needs a scrub and then I will give it a coat of yellow ochre as it is now.

After hours of sanding, priming, sanding and priming....my neighbour shot some colour on the Simmons and then a couple coats of clear...came up sweet for an outside job.

 

First pic top is final colour and lower centre is the primer.

As per 99.99% of my photos can’t be loaded due to size. 
 

trial fitted fr17 barrels on the standard diff and this was the result 4” inner and outers. 
 

I have a ford explorer 8.8 diff now that’s a good 3-4cm narrower and disc. Just getting that in so I can get the wheels built. 
 

Will be stepped to 18” and it looks likely for 5” lips

That’s the 8.8 diff mocked up. Calliper clearance to chassis rail appears that it may well work.
