And I scored some free fog lights of fb market place and Wacked them on for now. I will get the correct ones down the line and indeed, wire them up too.

I picked up these spare arch trim over a year ago and was told they are fronts. I grabbed them for spares but I really needed rears. 
 

got them home and what do ya know. They are rears! My rear trims are riveted and dented so I couldn’t be happier really.

I finally got a set of top door stainless trim for all 4 doors. I’m way too drop nuts to drill holes to mount them but.

14x8 ss Cragars are on and I’m loving it - I e only tried to upload this image 20x and it failed due to size….now it just loads.

i sold the ‘spinners’ as I prefer the new centre caps - makes the dish pop that much more IMHO

The other day I bought some original v8 base plates and the v8 (auto) throttle linkages. Wire wheel and then rust proof black paint. That’s if the other photo ever loads

I'm off to buy this bad boy early next week - just want to see it in person and take a look at the gear set.

 

4 speed toploader 28 spline close ratio suited to a 351C with the correct 1 1/16 input shaft. It comes with the XA linkages too.

Complete with linkages and shifter not photographed. I will need the bell housing and clutch/slave/flywheel, but this should be the last hard to find bit.

I located the correct bell housing for my toploader and even better, it's local too.

I will need to drill and tap 3 additional holes as seen by my rudimentary blue dots.

One hole is correct and when I put a bolt in that one and offer up the toploader, it locates on the bearing retainer (circle hole in the bell housing).

Difficult to find these bell housings as this one has the cast clutch slave mounts and this takes the larger 164 tooth flywheel

Next steps, sonic test blocks and measure bearings up for a quick build

This Hurst shifter popped up suited for a 1971 Mustang Toploader. Hoping like hell it suits my loader and it appears that it should. Looks to be an extra linkage arm included too. 
 

excellent price so had to get it - mate wants my xa shifter and linkage set up for his xa hardtop Toploader. 
 

word on the street is that Hurst shifters are a game changer on an old Toploader. Time will tell.

cracked into the Toploader and took more paint off. Then rust proofed it after the drill battery died. Photos not loading so that’s all I have for the efforts haha
