Seat mount diameter?

Hello.

 

I'm looking for fab up some rails to mount my Recaro seats into my Mini.

Does anyone know what diameter square tubing I need to use?

if its for motorsport useage has to be 3mm steel id generally go for that as a guideline anyways and id say 25x25 box 3mm wall thickness would be a go

I use roll cage tube. You know it's going to do the job...

If you're going for Cert or need a cage for racing use these regs.

Otherwise follow above but keep in mind replacement mounts like the pics above requires a cert.

Those pink stickers can be a pain.

Yeah, I'll be getting a cert at the end as I'm changing all the suspension. The car had a cert for some budget Lancer seats before it was taken off the road, but I'm changing those out for Recaros which will need to be mounted differently.
