Popular Post 427carguy
Alright I scored this little fiat and im putting it up here to try motivate myself to actually start on it. Is been sitting under a tree for a long time engine is well stuffed I assume but havnt got to involved yet and the floor is rusty as from what I can see thru all that parts stacked up in it. The Plan: we have a car show in Christchurch every year call Muscle car madness and if you stay out it gets pretty wild at night, So im building this to mainly cruise around there. I want it as low as it can possibly go with camber and wide steel wheels (itll never be road legal so I dont care what has to be cut and added to get it super low) Possibly running a motorbike engine it the back seat with pipes out the rear window. Basically its going to be a super cheap build so itll evolve into what ever it does with the parts I can find. 427carguy
So decided to do somthing to make this cool so I get some more motivation de springing it worked, The back is a pretty good height the front needs some cutty cutty to make it the right height. Now Im pretty keen to get rid of that grill the makes the rear window sit to high because I hate it and lower the rest of the roof to suit, a bit like this. Any advice welcome as Iv never undertaken a roof chop befor cheers.

427carguy
Progress with photos!!! Roof is all welded back together, not as good as I would have liked but itll do, I put a few layers of different colour paint on sanded it back and it sort of suits the rest of the car old running gear all gone. May need to do same reinforcing as the floors and sills arnt connected anymore. Because factory suicide doors The bike has been stripped and the engine is sitting in about the right spot ready to make some mounts.

427carguy
Went full ham with a grinder and saber saw, So we now have 14x10 steels under the rear guards that will hopefully get a couple of birdflus semi slicks stretched over them this weekend. Also engine is mounted and have the steel for the rear axle.

Shifter is now higher than the roof courtesey of some free reo bar from work

Engine mainly connected, still need to sort throttle cable and pedal and finish off the fuel lines I kept the whole bike loom because im shit at wiring, anyway its hidden in that box. Bench seat ended up as two smaller seats because it was easier and im lazy (still gotta finish drivers seat) (if you were wondering the thing on the axle is a dildo care of a board birdflu) Made the roof rack abit lower. i need an old brown belt to strap the tank on. Also need to mount the roof skin Axle! test fitted now back to fatty for key ways.also lacking brakes which it the next main hurdle Hubs....
Popular Post 427carguy
Finished rear fitment with wheels mounted to axle, I have to raise the front slightly beacuse the tyre rubs on the top in the inner guard with people in it Mounted one broken headlight and put the switch on the bonnet coz I can do what ever I want and with no window and a tiny car its easily within reach when seated. this photo makes the rear look like it has lame camber but its actully stright up and down Only 11 days and heaps of work until i need this driveable, so there probley wont be any posting till after its done.

427carguy
This is now running and has brakes, Just took it for a drive and it broke the chain idler which which destroyed the chain. the neighbours enjoyed watching me push it home as they had come out to see what was going on because it was so loud driving down the street. any way some updates I have more but will update after the fact Also its got enough power to get up to the speed limit which is pretty sweet for the 250. Rear light off a push bike that looks pretty sweet i real life, potato photo makes it look lame My master cylinder off a suzuki car and amp to run some house speakers Start of adapting a car disk to a 40mm axle making cortinas look big since ages ago Look at that rear fitment
KKtrips
I rate this a solid 8 out of 10 and would get a 9 out of 10 if you did something about straightening up the camber on the front wheels. It makes it look a lot weird.
