rob.121
Hi all, i am wanting to repaint the inside of my ute tray with hippo 2pak bed liner. The deck has been stripped back to clean bare metal. Being a ute deck i want the hippo liner to have a solid base to stick to. As a primer i was going to use a 2pak epoxy primer. The question i have is it ok to brush it on? It may take abit longer to apply but i want to save the mess and hassle of having to spray when surface finish is not important as the hippo liner going on top is heavily textured anyhow. Spencer
Yea man you can brush it on, most data sheets say its fine in small areas. I brush it on all my patch panels, it comes out lumpy as shit though. Just try it with no thinner and if it flows out well go for it, if not add a little thinner if needed.

Spencer
Good luck! really though for a area that big you should just get some big sheets of plastic and spray it. Really easy area to mask off and it will give a better adhesion I think if its all laid down in 2-3 uniform coats.
tortron
Use a roller. Tye kind for corrugated iron if its ribbed. This will give a much more uniform texture
