Where to relocate O2 sensors when using custom/aftermarket extractors?

Hi guys, I'm looking for a bit of advice on what to do about O2 sensor relocation.

I've bought myself a set of old headers from a 2tg for my 2tgeu. I need to modify them to accept the 2tgeu O2 sensor, which is tapped into the cast manifold.

Is it important how far along the extractor the sensor is located?

Is it important how many cylinders the sensor receives exhaust from?

Thanks,

Andrew

should have it where they all meet, and not too far down. The closer to the motor the better generally. Also make sure you dont mount it too low. Between 10 and 2 (like the clock) is generally the prime location

Yeah far down is fine as long as there are no leaks prior to the sensor as it'll draw extra air in causing false readings. as above don't mount it past 90 deg as condensation will settle in it and quickly ruin it. straight up and down is fine.
