Esky_addict
Im moving the battery to the boot of my mk2 escort and am not sure what kind of circuit breaker id need. How many amp breaker should I be looking for?
kpr
200amp or so, depends what you are starting. I usually dont bother with anything, put an isolator some where within reach of driver. run the cable somewhere where its not likey to get damaged in a crash, use decent cable and will be fine. Esky_addict
sweet as, got a pinto in it I wouldn't bother either but rather be on the safe side and the cable is a about 150mms short so makes a good excuse for a join lol. Got the cable running through firewall directly behind starter then across the floor to the boot, and using heavy as welding cable.
Benno
Yeah, around 200A is what you want. As kpr said you can get away without anything if you make sure that the cable is properly protected and can't rub through. If you wanted some additional peace of mind or a junction you would be fine with just a fuse, which would be cheaper then a circuit breaker
Esky_addict
yeah kinda thinking about going the fuse route now, can anyone recommend a decent fuse and holder.
