Walker.NZ
hey guys just need to know if there are any differences between a aa63 strut with vented brakes factory and ma60 struts, i know a lot of these strut types produce wack camber angles and just want to be sure before i consider getting these https://technotoytuning.com/toyota/ma60/steering-knuckles-ma60-supra Cheers Sam
Ridal
You could have a look: http://www.toyodiy.com/ up in here. http://www.toyodiy.c...ACMQF_4803.html http://www.toyodiy.c...21‑14070 &mG=on Cross reference shows the same strut being used in *T140 Coronas but not the Supra. I'm not sure if this strut uses the vented disc or not. I think if you have a good browse you could figure it all out. I'm pretty sure the MA60 struts are different though because of the wider chassis, different top hat position, and LCA length. I think the stub axles angle is different but I can't remember whether it's more or less angle. Is the knuckle bolt spacing not the same on the MA60 as the *A60 Carina struts? Pretty sure it's 89mm in the *A60 Carinas. I'd give T3 an email. From my experience they're happy to inform you if they have something to suit your parts or not. I'm interested in these knuckles also so post up what you find out.
Walker.NZ
Sweet bro just sussed it, i forgot about toyodiy haha.. The ma61 celica supra which the t3 knuckles are based on are the same part numbers as the carina items, so i would say that they will work sweet as. Clearly the differences are in the actual strut body themselves and the knuckles are some what interchangeable. Now to rustle up some dollars, anyone think 50usd is a bit steep to send these here? i know i got a set of sidedraughts from america sent for less than that. ryanfels
When it comes to comparing struts and steering arms, i use http://www.toycrazy.net/index1.html . Just go into the tech section and click Strut and Disk Comparision. Most of the rwd toyotas are in there
AE25
direct link... http://www.toycrazy.net/tech/struts.html struts are all 90mm bolt spacing in the _A6# celica/carina so at least the strut will fit. The ball joints are different between the 6cyl and 4cyl. So be warned, if it's made for the ma61 then the taper is probably bigger than the rwd corolla's or 4cyl ta63/aa63/ra63 etc. mx73 cressida knuckles have the larger taper too. they still have the same 14mm thread but the tapered seat varies. Best to confirm that with T3 if using them on aa63. Or better yet, get the ra64 version which should be correct. Also the M series struts have a fatter 21mm disk and the hub is different to accomodate the offset. stub axle is same between the struts I believe but the camber varies depending on the car it fitted to.
