Dell'orto
Need a bit more info on the rest of the engine really. Has it been jetted correctly?
olsen21
Not sure to be honest, brought like this, engine was running fine, then exhaust gaskets went as intake/exhaust was loose, so i didnt use it for a few months and finally got round to doing the gaskets, so i done them and now it wont run right. Dell'orto
Hmm, well I would suggest set timing to stock specs, and work from there. Does it have a reground cam or more compression or anything?
olsen21
Ok will do that, it has a slightly ground cam, have no specs as this was also already in the engine ( wish i had thought to ask for all these details before i got it)
phatt20
seeing as its only started running differently after replacing gaskets/taking manifolds off , you would proly be best looking around that area, any vacuum leaks etc? not unusual to have shit sitting in the bottom of the carbs , and when ya take them of and on it can get stirred up and end up inside jets etc.
olsen21
iv come to the conclusion there is somthing up in the carbs, so its going to the specialist some time next week for surgery haha
olsen21
turns out had multiple problems, tight tappets and the carbs had some blocked jets
