shavenYak
Dear Olde School, I want to run relays for my headlights to take some strain off the shitty wiring and existing relay/switches in the combination switch. I have a pair of "headlight relays" that I took out of a Saab, but the wiring diagram is doing my head in / I'm stupid. Can someone please assist? I can't find my camera so here is a little drawing of what's on the side of the relay: What should I connect everything to? Thanks! Yours shavenly, The Yak. BlownCorona
your not stupid, that's just an really weird wiring diagram. looks like 56a and 56b are hi beam and dip beam 's' probably switches between these two options 31 is ground and i think 30 is power and 86 is the headlight on switch i would get a 2nd opinion before wiring up like this for peace of mind too
QCADTA
s = low beam high beam switch, earth already mentioned, 30 12v feed, 86 = head lights on switch. 56a to low beam relay, 56b front lamp filament monitor and daytime driving lights? cunt of a setup. go spend 12 bucks and get a normal relay. BlownCorona
whats a front lamp filament monitor? do these outputs not simply switch between two circuits? ie high and low?
peteretep
I just have two 4 pin relays for my high and low beams
shavenYak
^ yeah I've got some normal ones lying around, I just thought It would be cool to make these work, but seems to be a bit more trouble than it's worth.

QCADTA
whats a front lamp filament monitor? do these outputs not simply switch between two circuits? ie high and low? its some sort of ammeter which can tell if one headlight is drawing more load than the other, and sends that to the dice module. dice = Dashboard Integrated Central Electronics. its a saab thing
