Ideas on how to mount a Coilover to axle

YupO have consulted Aidan, it will basicly be the same as his settup.

Its partly an issue of handling, but mainly for future proofing.

Basicly because of the ride height i want to keep it at, it means the leaves have been reset so much they are bending upwards, which is ok for now but not ideal.

And because im about to get the 8point cage done i want it to tie into the rear turrets also rigidity.

Like so

And dont want it ending up like this

And then i can eventually do this if it turns out is required

^ I reckon you are therefore best to invest in a coil-over shock that accepts the most available spring sizes, and very, very light ones at that.

Aidan uses a Bilstien coil-over shock that was very expensive, but the spring perch is effectively a simple light circlip. You will probably want something like 50 - 100lb springs so get a shock that takes light competition coils.

Shit good spotting gaz, wonder if the shock is adjustable. can then get something like this later on to bolt straight in if they need upgrading or whatever http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motor ... 125769.htm

Wow you reckon that light UJ.

Anyone seen this site before? Its super sweet! if only postage was free gaa

Wonder how expensive it would be to find a shock that can be mounted upside down to reduce un-sprung weight
