wickmyster Posted July 17, 2010 Share Posted July 17, 2010 I have just bought a 1300GT engine. It has a factory lightened flywheel, weber, the cam has been reground to who knows what spec. But the pestons have valve cutouts!!! Are these GT pistons??? My haynes manual a bought says GT pistons dont have the cutouts. Are mk2 GT pistons different??? As I know that there are variations between GT engines, but I am not sure about the pistons. Has the bottom end been replaced with a standard one?? Any help would be much appreiated.
