durty
hmmmm, have a car that starts and runs fine, but the second you turn it off the charging light stays on and will drain the battery overnight. if you dont start it then the charge light doesnt come on and battery will last for ages. have traced it to the alternater or somewhere else in that circuit because if you unplug the alternator when the battery light is on the light goes out. extra info, was fine 2 years ago but has been parked up in a sea breeze since then and had the battery disconected the whole time chur chur
filthy one
think its your charge relay sticking bro which is why when you start the car it stays on. Disconnecting the alt is removing the charge relay from the circuit too hence the reason the light goes off could be wrong but worth a look anyhoe
kritta
sounds like a diode in the alternator has gone...electrolysis with salty conditions and electrical..probably backfeeding thru the charging system...off to the auto sparky pal..
