Guest Spencer
You still having issues? Not all of the efi shit Gould be main relay switched I'm sure, ignition or injectors were on a separate efi relay that kills the power off the key. Don't worry the senders will be earthed even through the ecu, they go through the ecu to stop earth loops
Guest thegreatestben
If the belt pulleys aren't all in line, you might be experiencing the belt chattering/walking on that smooth pulley on the tensioner. I would see if you can get your hands on a toothed one.

Guest Seedy Al
damn, you guys are actually right, I dont know how I missed that, Well, I do actually, Its been a long ass last couple of days Ok, I have an idea Might remove the Air con unit, seeing as I only have it on there as I thought I would need it to make the belt work, If i remove that and get a shorter belt that would tighten up on the pully slightly more I really dont want to attach the power steer pump, as, well It would just fuck it spinning with no fluid in it. Damn
Guest Truenotch
If you remove the air con pump you should be able to do away with the tensioner too? And just take up the slack with the alternator.
Guest Seedy Al
alternator is solid mounted, as is everything else.

Guest sheepers
you should be able to. the one on my JZ only goes around the pulley, alt and water pump. the alt is the tensioner because i modded the mount. my belt is way shorter than what you'll need. Guest Seedy Al
Actually just had a shower and got thinking about how to make the alternator adjustable. would be a piece of piss if I use one of those bolt threaded adjusters like heaps of cars use these days. However, i have a concern that my lower radiator hose might get in the way, as it wrappes around the alternator pretty good. Will have a look tomorrow and see what I can come up with

Guest Seedy Al
well that is the stated PS. its probabaly less, but, well, its 100 percent more power than the factory motor. I had a similar issue as Alex with his Viva. squirting out of the work drive to the end of the road at super quick speed only to have average brakes after years of rust on the discs Going to get those machined tomorrow as i will need good brakes for A frame towing
