ryanfels
late night post (well for me anyway) I need a guide on how to pull the centre from an IRS diff head and google dosnt seem to be showing up much. the main problem im having is removing the the shafts that bolt up to half shafts without the use of a slid hammer. any takers? Testament
are you sure they are just pressed in? or could they have a circlip or something holding them in?
ryanfels
ive been told they are just pressed in and that i can just pry them out, and i cant really see any circlips. I will have a closer look tomorrow though
Testament
if you dont want to hammer them off then you will have to look at either levering them somehow or depending on the size of the bot holes for the half shafts and the PCD you may be able to put a long bolt or piece of threaded rod through the hole and wind a nut up it to jack the shaft out. you would probably need two or three bolts/rods to do so that the flange wont get cocked over and jam up. ryanfels
sweet did it all today. Turns out its just got clips on the inside, all i had to do was hit the the axles a bit harder and they poped right out
