d.p.n.s Posted August 10, 2009 Share Posted August 10, 2009 ok so ive got all mk2 wiring in my van and have all lights working now apart from the indicators they come on for each side when i put them on left and right but i cant get them to flash. the mk2 has 2 lights in the dash 1 for each side ive wired a bolb to each side but still no flash. when i cross the wires all 4 flash. any ideas cheers dan Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

sholdowa Posted August 10, 2009 Share Posted August 10, 2009 As a start... forget about the repeaters in the car, and get them working later. You need power - usually switched from the ignition - on the B(attery) connector of the flasher unit, and connect the feed for the indicator circuit to the L(amp) connector, possibly through a relay. The speed at which they flash can be affected by the current going through the flasher unit, which is why you sometimes used to have to swap the flasher when towing. Haven't got a pic, sorry.
