Guest SHGWAG
My only real other option would be to get a full stainless system made. But that'll cost $$$$$$$$$
Guest durty
stuff some steel wool behind the silencer?
Guest Rookie
How is that going to make it quieter? Just do what thriller said, but keep the muffler on the back you want to use, and fill it with steelo, it works a charm.

Guest SHGWAG
Won't the steelo just blow out as soon as I hit boost? Or do you mean: Keep silencer Fill with steelo behind silencer. Get Cert / Wof Remove silencer. Hit boost Blow out steelo?

Guest Rookie
Na you need tools to change them so they are legit. Also exactly what you wrote ^

Guest Beaver
because there are no other rotarys in the world I can see how you have no idea how to make it quiet enough..

Guest Toucan
Just decrease pipe diameter/add mufflers/add loops. Weren't you saying it has too much power as it is? Restrict it all and make it quieter. Single stone, two birds
Guest SHGWAG
There's no more room for mufflers / loops due to the large rear subframe / where the exhaust has to run. And Andrew, most people do it the dodgy way as described above, but I'm wanting to avoid that. Reducing the exhaust size will reduce the power / increase back pressure. Guest slacker.cam
This is just a stupid hoop to jump through. Once you get the rubber stamp it's irrelevant so just do whatever it takes that's easy to undo.

Guest SHGWAG
Old photos from earlier this year, nothing much has changed since then apart from a few small things.... you get the idea.
Guest SHGWAG
So Friday I'm getting a new centre section of the exhaust with a 2.5inch dia muffler in there rather than the 3inch. This should solve the problem temporarily. I will be retaining the 3 inch section to bolt back in once this thing is legal.
Guest flyingbrick
That miata is of the hook! Dammit I'm so white. Put a restrictive plate in between exhaust flanges. With like 1" hole In it
