hey can someone tell me the position of the stalk when at low beam, high beam and flash. Whether or not when on high beam, low beam stays on as well as well as at flash, and maybe if someone is a master of the indicator stalk, how the switching works? it may be similar as other (old) cars, im rewiring my setup so need to know hwo it works

thanks

pretty much need to understand how it was wired originally, when you flash the light, its high beam or low beam that comes on? my car has 4 wires, a feed from permanent power(same wire as the horn in this case), a feed from the head light switch and two outputs to the low and high beams, but from what i can tell, when you flash it, it just gives power to the low beam, which would mean that when driving at night with low beam on and you flashed someone, the low beam would just stay there and no high beam?? is that correct?

what are other cars wired like, on my galant, when you put high beams on, low beams also stay on(although these are seperate light, 4 headlights), and when you flash someone the highs come on as expected.

alternatively, if this becomes hard and is not a good result, what is another good unit to put in there in place of the old unit

When you flash its high beam that come on, and low stays on if you have them on.

On your galant you will find that the low beam doesnt stay on when you go to highbeam, it will have low and hig beams in one of the pairs of lights and high beam only in the other pair.

Also if your not already relay all your lights and every thing else you can!
