LingLing
Hi all. Any one had a r30's suspensions replaced/ lowered before? I am pretty sure my RH rear shock is fxxked since the car is uneven. Looking for replace or upgrade the sets. keen to lower it as it improves the handling and looks bit better(or boys racerer). Cheers.

drtydog
depending on how much u want to spend there are a couple options. first would be new shocks and cobra springs...these don't lower the car much/at all tho. you could get the cobra's compressed as well but you would need to shorten shocks, as factory springs are bairly captive lol. or you can change to s13 hubs on the front and run s13 coilovers all round
LingLing
thanks bro. compare to R30 originals, Is the standard s13 set lower the whole car as well?
plasticdash
I have used low kings/konis and also "quite" compressed standards/re-oiled standard shocks. the kings and konis were better, and handled well, understeered at limit thou. not very much lower than std. really could have done with a larger rear swaybar. compresseds were low, but really did muck up the rear geometry , chewed out tyres on the insides as there wasnt enough adjustment to dial out the toe/camber. LingLing
hi, thanks for all the input. sounds like it's hard to get them low... I may just replace them as standard then..
