bubblegoose Posted May 3, 2009 Author Share Posted May 3, 2009 this is how to remove axle bearings got the engine and box out, got half way through stripping box, (expecting it to need new bearings and syncro's) then with a look of disbelief put it all back together again due to the uber mintness of everything some plonker fitted the gearbox obviously (sorry) the shift lever bolts were loose as fuck (read: 5mm out of the hole) and that caused the levr to move too much and damage this hole...........so i weleded it its now round again then performed some surgery to the shifter to remove that ghey push to shift bolox Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I found the legendary rust goblin! this rare creature has never been seen before and the only previous evidence of his existence was his excrement left on the panels of old cars in other more exciting news i received some titanium headers to chop up i made a head gasket my engine fell in (please excuse sorry state of engine bay ) oh and wire brushes can penetrate 3 layers of clothes (also i dont like wire with barbed ends) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

bubblegoose Posted September 17, 2009 Author Share Posted September 17, 2009 got the headers all tacked into place have carefully removed them (requires removeal of cylinder head to do so ) am not keen to weld them up till the last minute as i can see somthing will get in there way so have started on the steering rack conversion (started being the key word, other cars work and females are slowing me down atm ) chopped the end off the rack to keep the ball joints level with the lower suspension pivots its currently with a mate on waiting to go on his lathe to drill and tap the new hole for the tie rod when it finally makes its way back i can begin measuring up how much i need to chop off the housing Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
bubblegoose Posted September 29, 2009 Author Share Posted September 29, 2009 hmm well ive been doing to tinkerbelling in the garage recently and this be the resuslts made a set of massive bonnet risers..... there also quick release well you all know what they are had to 'modify the shock .................. on the bench grinder just a dummy fit suffered this fatality with 25mm more shock left, hopefully with some lower tyres a bit of stretch and some discs behind the wheels it will help but wait a second... im not sure i realy need the extra 25mm's the cell phone measuring stick wasn't going to cut it so i improvised with a $2 coin Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
